"I chose to buy from American Freight after reading reviews of good customer service when things went wrong (as they can sometimes do when buying open box). Those reviews were consistent with my experience, which I would like to share with you. 1) We bought a Whirlpool oven from them. Turns out, it was a 7 year-old model (I wished they'd told us!). It had issues within a month of purchasing it. Whirlpool refused to honor the warranty (long story). American Freight tried to get them to honor the warranty - still no luck. So American Freight allowed us to swap out that model for any other model in their inventory. They found one we liked at another store, arranged to have it dropped off at our house (and the other one picked up), all at no cost to us. 2) We bought a fridge from them. The salesman offered to swap out the scratched handles for nicer handles on a different model. I took pictures of both, just to be safe. When the fridge was delivered, the original/scratched handles were still on it. I called the store, and they sent somebody out to change it to the right handles without any hassle. So, yes, there is some risk in buying open box. But American Freight stands by there products with impeccable customer service - you can buy with confidence, imo."
