"My mom really wanted my son to wear a tux for his senior prom. She has always been pleased with the quality of the clothes she purchased at Garber’s (for my son and for my late father) so she took him there. During the measuring process, the employees remarked several times about my son’s size and being hard to fit. My son is 6 ft 1 and has a muscular, athletic build that seems fairly typical for high school boys so my mom asked if there was a place that specialized in prom tuxedos and fitting boys this age. They told her they were the only place in town that rented for prom (apparently claiming the bridal stores only rented for weddings). When the tux came in, the pants didn’t fit and mom had to go back to exchange them. Though the new ones fit better, they were still not a perfect fit, as Garber’s claims to provide. Ultimately, the shirt and jacket were too big, the pants were too small and too short, the shoes were too tight, and the tie, pocket square and vest were all different shades of red and styles of fabric. While most high school guys don’t love wearing a tux, my son was very uncomfortable and could not wait to get this off. Even still, in the few hours he wore it, the tux jacket became extremely wrinkly, suggesting the fabric quality was low. If this whole experience had cost $100, I would be disappointed, but when I found out my mom paid $239 for this rental, I was angry. I told her she should see if they could refund at least half the price. Instead, when mom returned it, the employee said my son would not have found a tux to fit him anywhere, that the tux was excellent quality, and that they had 90 prom rentals and everyone was happy but us. We don’t usually write bad reviews, but I feel like Garber’s has been around Cape long enough that they should make things right for their customers. Until they do, I would not advise anyone to rent a tux here."

"Will not be back to rent a suit again. Staff was great when we came in for the fitting. But communication is terrible was never told when to return the suit. Its been a busy week. They call on a Friday when it was supposedly was to be returned on a Monday. No one called till Friday after 5p. Was told that there would be a $50 late fee but it was suppose to be waved due to not being told. Dropped the suit off just this morning and the gentleman was rude asked if thats all I needed he said no you gotta pay $50. I went over the conversation from Friday but said whatever I'll just pay it and not come back for any future business."

"Called to confirm my pickup day was the next day and was told "yeah it should be here". I asked if he (the owner) could confirm that and he then told me it would arrive 5 days later, 2 days before the event. Later that day he called back and said it would actually arrive the following day as I was originally told. When I showed up the owner was chatting wroth a customer and ignored me until I started to walk away. I tried on the tux, came out and was once again ignored. Only when the lady who originally helped me wad finished with her customer did I recieve any attention."

"I went in today looking for a suit and both of the women who were there went out of their way to help me get everything that I needed. They were helpful, knew their product and help me match the ties with the shirts. Ended up buying two suits. I would highly recommend this store for anyone looking to get a suit that fits nice and looks good too! No reason to go anywhere else!"
