"Been waiting over an hour for a basic oil changed and they haven't even gotten me in yet. All the service techs are just walking around and not even working. I went to the one in Collinsville last time and the whole oil change took not even 30 minutes. I'll never come here again."
"My recent experience with Walmart's auto care center was nothing short of a fiasco. I had ordered a set of tires through the Walmart app and scheduled an appointment online, expecting a seamless process. However, my expectations were shattered upon arrival. Despite my scheduled appointment, I was informed that the auto care center was unable to install the tires due to staffing shortages and callouts. While I understand these challenges, I believe there should be a mechanism to notify customers beforehand to avoid wasted trips. The store manager offered a $30 gift card as compensation, but this did little to address the underlying issue of the online scheduling system's disconnect with the auto care centers' capabilities. Determined to resolve the tire issue, I returned the following morning at 7 AM, hoping for a smoother experience. After waiting for a couple of hours, the tires were mounted, and an oil change was performed. Upon reaching home, I noticed that the front passenger tire was significantly underinflated, registering a mere 13 PSI. Further inspection revealed that the valve stems had not been replaced despite having paid for the service. This entire experience has left me utterly disappointed and questioning whether I would ever recommend or revisit a Walmart auto care center. The lack of communication, scheduling discrepancies, and incomplete service have severely undermined my trust in their capabilities."
"Haven't needed this place in a while, but did come looking at car batteries. Seems to be good prices too"
"I would give ZERO stars if permitted. This is the 2nd vehicle Walmart has damaged. First, they did NOt put oil in my daughter’s 2017 Ford Fusion and allowed her to drive off after complaining that they had to remove so much from underneath vehicle in order to perform oil change. She door dashed all evening and was about to go to work the following afternoon but blue smoke was blowing out tail pipe, we recorded my son checking oil and the dip stick came out bone dry each time. Took it back to Walmart and they took it to the back and came out almost an hour later showing my daughter dipstick telling her ,” I can’t believe you didn’t see all of this oil in your car.” LIES! I have video proving them wrong but they denied the claim so I had to pay out of pocket for an engine replacement and repairs NOW my son’s 2007 Yukon Denali I’m has a locked engine due to one of the guys replacing an oil plug that he was NOT instructed to do. This guy lied like he did not do this but clearly this is a shiny, silver plug inside of the oil pan but today I got word from the repair shop that Walmart states they’re going to deny the claim because we don’t have evidence that their crew replaced the plug. You have cameras there so be honest about it. Walmart also stated that my son drove the vehicle an additional 3,000 miles. My son didn’t realize at the time what was going on and when I told him this large oil leak didn’t start until after you had that last oil change he went up to the store and addressed it but of course they denied doing more than an oil change so the individual over the claim asked that I send pictures and the receipt as well as getting proof that the engine is locked up and so I did but still he found a reason to deny the claim. Again, Walmart gets away with destroying my children’s property and leaving me to foot the bill. We learned about this shiny new plug due to the truck not starting and my son thinking it may be the starter so his dad jacked it up and saw oil pouring from this plug that Walmart had installed. He asked my son who had done this and my son told him it had to be Walmart the day of the oil change. We took pictures of the newly installed plug for evidence but found out that it doesn’t matter because we didn’t SEE Walmart installing it. Very sad. I was told by the manager that Walmart tends to hire unskilled individuals at this location and that he has a difficult time trying to train them since they have ZERO auto repair experience. He also stated that most of them have never even put a pair of breaks on a vehicle before. This was said after one of the young men overfilled my son’s truck with oil and we had to take it back to Walmart. They apologized and had the young man to apologize as well stating that he was new. Manager explained to young man that he could’ve caused major damage to the pistons inside of vehicle. This young man was extremely apologetic and nervous. He ended up being a door greeter but after about a month, he was no longer working there. I believe he was embarrassed or ashamed because we’d enter the store and see him as a greeter where he’d still frequently apologize for his mistake. Sad place to work and do business with."
"We had a gentleman by the name of Kieth help us. We purchased 2 tires. He was extremely busy and short staffed. But never let it get to him. He was very professional. We never felt like we were a problem. He answered all of our questions. And helped us decide on a which tires to purchase. We had them installed and out the door in less then 1 hour. We will definitely recommend this tire center. This man deserves a raise. We were very impressed."
