"Dr. Leyva, Shelley and entire staff are the most exceptional group of medical personnel we have ever come across! My daughter will be turning 18 and we are going to need to leave her pediatric endocrinologist. She is so upset about this because of her close relationship with Dr. Leyva, and team that she has developed throughout the years. As much as insurance and medical costs are these days… I always feel like it’s worth it when we have such good physicians and medical staff to turn to. Our medical system is the best in the world because of people like you."

"She orders blood work and then re-orders again because of her mistake in the first one. On top of that she makes the patient pay for the first blood work. 1 star that I gave should have been negative 10 Update after your first reply: So call the number and look for whom? The one whom I should talk to should have gone through this post. I don't want to repeat the above to who picks up and then we are back to square 1. I will have to keep giving this feedback again and again. So mention their name or have them reply to this review. UPDATE on today's appointment that is 6/3/2022: Hey bonnie, I know we arrived a few minutes late due to good reasons and I know you had to leave early is what we were told. the lady at the reception thank god she didn't had to leave early. she was courteous enough to reschedule today's appointment to Sept 15th. well it is not that far in the future although do you feel we should see someone else other than you so that my daughter get start the treatment soon as I think starting treatment on Sept 15th would kind of defeat the purpose of the treatment itself as my daughter would be around 10ish and she will fall under the normal periods cycle if she hasn't already. What do you think would be best for my daughter?"

"I wish there was a .25 star, because that is all this doctor and her staff deserves. They are totally uncaring and unresponsive. My son's blood pressure was very high at the beginning of the visit (I had to ask the "nurse" what the numbers were as she did not offer the information to me, the concerned mother) - they were not even going to re-check his blood pressure if I had not asked! We were obviously very concerned, and when the mumbling, rude and uncaring nurse (?) retook his blood pressure at the end of the visit, all she mumbled was "ya. it's lower." Again, I had to ASK what his blood pressure was! The doctor literally does not give a hoot about her patients, and the only reason she gets a start is because she diagnosed my son's condition. She had increased his medication 2 weeks before the appointment, and read his labs and was about to raise it yet again, having not recalled she had already increased it! Absolutely deplorable. She has seen him multiple times, automatically assumes that he does not exercise and only eats junk food. This young man is an athlete and works out two times a day - which she should know by NOW!!! And he was even WEARING his high school football t-shirt at the last appointment. So sad, as no one in that office has ever given us the feeling that they actually care about my son's well being - emotionally, physically and socially. I feel there was a very strong vibe of judgement in that examination room. I have called twice and messaged twice with questions re: the last appointment and no one has responded to me and it has been weeks. I asked if they had transferred his medical record to our NEW doctor and they lied and said yes, but it has not happened yet. Maybe if someone sees this review, they will respond to me?"

"I never even got far enough to meet this doctor, her support staff was rude and unwilling to answer basic questions prior to the initial appointment. If you are looking for someone to just tell you what to do with out any input or questions regarding you or your child’s healthcare this looks like it may be a good place. If you, like me, expect to be a partner in healthcare who is respected as a thinking person who has control over their own body and care - and who expects to have basic questions answered in a polite and intelligible way, steer clear!"
