"I’ve lived here since April 2023 and when i first moved in i loved it the pool was clean the maintenance was fast they fixed my dishwasher that was not working since i had moved in and then suddenly they changed management company i guess and they have different staff, well the pool has not been clean since june and all summer it would be dirty so i would have to go to a friends or family’s pool. The pool remains dirty they have a big sign with a picture of it all clean but in reality it’s super dirty all the time. The gates have never closed since i’ve lived here and weirdos walk around. Specifically there’s this one dude that is always here and i don’t think he really lives here but he will walk around the pool area and go in the gym which is never locked and drink water. The gym has a fob lock thing but never have i gotten a fob and it’s always unlocked so anyone from anywhere could go in there if i’m working out so i can’t workout in there i’m a woman. I don’t feel safe going to the gym because anyone could just come in. The only thing i like about the apartment is the layout, the facts that guest don’t have to go into my room to go to the restroom is exactly what i was looking for but the stove sucks it’s so hard to clean and old and the water in this area leaves a residue and the kitchen sink is disgusting not matter how hard i tried to scrub it it does not get clean. The trash is the only things that gets done here because they take forever with maintenance request and the pool is dirty so i would not recommend. if these were 1100 i would understand but its too expensive to be this ratchet n old . I have had roaches before and they are not even sending the pest control when i requested so i don’t get why im paying the fee for anything if nothing but they trash gets done. Don’t come here. i’m gonna finish my lease and maybe do monthly payments instead and leave eve size this ain’t it and my neighbor downstairs is crazy. Also i was paying for the water and it was a decent amount and one day they charged me like almost 300 dollars and said that the meters were not working and we didn’t t get charged for those months and the next water bill will be less and it was but it was still something that should not have happened."
"I’ve been waiting for maintenance to come fix my dryer or replace my dryer since I moved in on November 10th. Calling them each week does absolutely nothing for me. Each call they tell me someone will be there to fix it, they have to wait for a peice to arrive in order to fix it, Someone will be here tomorrow to fix it and absolutely nobody shows up. I’d rather them just tell me that nobody is coming to fix the dryer and that they could care less instead of getting upset with me for putting in 15 request and had the audacity to fix her lips to tell me my 15 request does nothing but put me at the bottom of the line. The only reason I submitted my 14 other request is because they repeatedly lie and tell me someone will be here the next day, in the next hour etc. Ms. Wanda I could care less ESPECIALLY when I’ve been calling about this broken dryer y’all had in my unit knowing it should’ve been fixed before I moved in on the 10th of NOVEMBER. WHY wasn’t it fixed/ replaced before I moved in I shouldn’t have to pay 1,200 plus a month and go to the laundromat each week and deal with horrible attitudes like Wanda’s because you guys failed to replace my dryer. I personally don’t think it takes 6 weeks to replace a dryer."
"I am not one to leave negative reviews, but I have been a resident here for only a couple of months and I would HIGHLY suggest taking your business elsewhere. The apartments themselves are decently nice, but any issues you may have, go weeks without being fixed unless you call multiple times. Most of the employees don't seem to know what they're doing, and the lady that appears to be the main manager is always in a bad mood or has a bad attitude towards the other staff. Though Savannah has been helpful on multiple occasions. The main issue I've had is with safety. Being a young woman, the last thing I want is to feel unsafe when I am walking to or from my apartment. But it's hard to feel safe when there is sketchy people that can walk in and out of the apartment freely because the gates are ALWAYS open. The first day I arrived to move my things there was a man offering to sell me a ball hitch, which he claimed that he "didn't steal". Things like that happen so I didn't think much of it, but since that day I often see people wandering the complex that clearly do not live here. Especially on the weekends since the back gate is right next to a busy bar/dance hall. Management does not care and claims that the gate "doesn't really keep people out anyways" and "people will find a way to get in". There is nothing wrong with the gates, they are just too lazy to do anything about it. You'd think they would care a little more after people are shooting guns at 6:30 am and damaging multiple cars in the parking lot, my car included, but you'd be wrong. I work overnight shifts and get home from work at 6:30 am. I don't even want to think about what could've happened if I had worked that night. Please do yourselves a favor and don't rent here."
"UPDATE: My car has been stolen from the apartment complex. The non functioning gates allow anyone easy entrance into the complex so they can steal your property, including your car. A functioning gate is the bare minimum for security and it's embarrassing that Broad stone can't provide that but can charge you for "valet trash". I would highly recommend looking at renting elsewhere, specifically somewhere that can do the bare minimum in protecting the complex from thieves. I’ve had my car broken into once and my neighbor has had theirs broken into twice. I’ve also had property stolen from the front of my door and another resident had property taken from their porch/patio. On my second week of living here, we heard loud gunshots and cops were at the complex a few minutes later. When you bring the security issues up with management they insist there’s nothing they can do despite the gates being left open 24/7. The property itself is almost always dirty with trash piled outside of resident doors, alcohol bottles and cigarette left on the stairs, and dumpsters surrounded by trash. The pool is nice but it seems to get super dirty a few days every two weeks and there’s nightly pool parties with loud music during the warmer months. The apartment is nice but I can’t help but feel like its overpriced for what you’re getting. Appliances aren’t that new and all seem to be holding it together by a thread. I had immediate problems with the sink upon move in and have had a broken microwave for about a week now (Update: Microwave has been replaced). It’s nice that you get get a washer and dryer in your unit though. Unfortunately, the water bill is split up between residents which means if you use little water, you’re paying for other residents’ water usage. Overall, the property has serious issues with security and trash that management doesn’t seem to care about and costs too much for what you receive. I would advise looking elsewhere as you can find an apartment for the same price that is safer, has more/better amenities, or both for the same price or less."
"**Update: After another combative conversation with Wanda she finally got on the phone and called another plumber, he came today. Now let’s see what happens. I know this update will be read and go unacknowledged like the original which Wanda confirmed today too. I attached photos as well.** This review does not reflect upon the assistant manager Christina or the leasing agent Savannah. They are both helpful to the best of their ability, I have received great customer service and assistance from these ladies concerning my issues here. 5 stars to these ladies. I moved into these apartments last year when they were managed by Greystar, I enjoyed my experience and had my issues addressed properly up until the management change to AMC. When this new management company came in there was so much chaos of no one knowing what to do, the front office staff has had so much turnover I’m not sure if the current staff is the 3rd, 4th, or 5th round of staff in the office. As residents we received water bills in the mail towards the end of August that were more than double the usual amount. When I called, the property manager Wanda Miller answered and said the water meters were set too low or were faulty for the past 12 months and the balance is accurate and due but credits would be given If they found it was necessary. No communication besides an email at 5:15pm before the office closed at 6:00 pm. If you didn’t sign a form promising to pay the full almost $300 water bill by Sept 15th a late fee would apply. I also have a water leak in my apartment from the sprinkler room which requires 2 machines to run in my bedroom 24 hours per day until the leak issue can be resolved…how many ever days that takes. If I remove the blower Wanda will file a grievance against my renters insurance and stated she will not be reimbursing the up charge on my electric bill for these machines. Wanda tried to argue with me that the leak was not coming from the sprinkler closet before even going to look at the issue, she is rude and uses a condescending tone when speaking to others. She also stated the fire Marshall just came out to do inspections and implied that he lied about checking my building or else he would have caught the issue with the sprinkler. Now I wonder how thorough the work is here at this property. I was in the leasing office earlier today speaking with the leasing agent Savannah while Wanda was in her office saying “answer the phone” well why don’t you answer, Wanda? You aren’t doing anything helpful. My experience here is going downhill very quickly. While I understand a property manager needs to be firm you also need to be understanding, place yourself in the residents shoes, and should be the example of customer service. Wanda lacks these things and her problem solving skills could use some improvement. Maintenance did act very quickly starting the steps to address my water leak issue and also confirmed the leak is in fact coming from the fire sprinkler closet. If Wanda had been the property manager when I moved here, I would have kept looking elsewhere. There’s a way to handle things and she would do well to learn that. It only takes one bad interaction to leave a bad impression and make a situation worse."
