"Having lived at The Dalton in Round Rock, Texas for a year, I can confidently say it's been an exceptional experience. The staff here are the epitome of kindness and efficiency, always greeting residents with a smile and going above and beyond to assist with any needs. One of the standout features is the fantastic dog park. It's a wonderful space for our furry friends to play and socialize, reflecting The Dalton's pet-friendly approach. As a dog owner, this amenity has been invaluable to me and my pet's happiness. The pool area deserves a special mention. It's not just a pool; it's a retreat! Beautifully maintained, clean, and aesthetically pleasing, it's the perfect spot to relax and unwind. The serene environment around the pool adds to the overall charm and appeal of the complex. Another aspect where The Dalton truly shines is the maintenance service. Their crew is incredibly efficient. Every time I've submitted a request, the response has been swift and the issue resolved promptly, often exceeding my expectations. Living here has been a delightful experience, combining the comfort of a well-maintained home with the luxury of top-notch amenities and a friendly community. "I was one of the first few residents of this complex when it first opened so I have been here two years now and am able to give an accurate review. Initially my lease was pushed back in date as construction was not finalized, which is no fault of them, so understandable. However, when I got the keys to my apartment, there was zero construction clean up. EVERYTHING was full of construction dust and nails and I couldn’t tell the office to come clean as I was already moved in from out of state and it was the weekend. So I had to clean everything by myself. A few months later, the unit next to me had a water leak and it passed on to my closet and kitchen. Damage in kitchen was minor but alot of my personal belongings got super wet as the carpet was SOAKED. I do have to say that maintenance was quick on coming by to take care of it, however, I was with loud fans in my apartment for a few days and keep in mind, I work from home so this was such an inconvenience and not credit or compensation was given to me by management. Again, later on. The whole building had plumbing issues as the toilet was not flushing and they called a plumbing company out. Apparently the whole plumbing was messed up on the entire building and while they worked on it, the sewer exploded in my yard and i believe one more. My ENTIRE yard and personal belongings were covered in sewer/feces. I asked management to come clean it and nothing was done. So i got tired of the smell and not being able to let my dogs out in the yard (which you pay alot for but i will get into that later) so I cleaned it up myself as much as I could but not everything came off. Up until this day, one wall still has sewer stains. I had to throw away several of my belongings as they were soaked in feces and i told management about it. They said to turn in receipts of everything damaged and they would refund me. I turned everything in (twice) and then they said they would be giving me a gift card, which i received nothing. I kept on asking about it and kept getting the “we will look into it”answer, until i was denied and told to just turn it into my insurance. Which initially they said they would refund me. Again, no credit nor any type of compensation was given for the inconvenience. Some pictures attached which only show some of the sewer but the rest of the damage is in a video which google does not allow for reviews. There was also a time where I believe the neighbors upstair kept throwing trash into my yard and one morning i woke up to vomit on my yard. I asked management to get involved or send out a blind email basically saying to respect the neighbors below but nothing was done to the matter. After that I had no other issues and aside from everything else, I do find this community to be safe and quiet, its in a great location and the apartment itself is perfect for my two service dogs and I. However, rent is super high for a 650sqft apartment. My lease renewal offer came up and I looked into it. They advertise it on the website for $300 less so I went into the office to see why the difference and they said it was because I was in the first floor and had a yard. Crazy how thats $300 more. That day I was told they could possibly price match to another exact unit like mine that was about $100 less or they would do a credit of $500 but they would let me me know. While I was waiting to be helped, they told another potential tenant that they no longer charged a fee for a washer and drier and when I later asked why I was being charged, they basically said that they still do if the unit has the washer and drier, they roll it into the price. Which again is false advertising. A week later and no answer yet, so I went in to ask again and they basically said the price is what it is and no changes would be made as the other unit they mentioned is actually more $$, even though that other day it was cheaper. With everything into consideration, I am unsure if I will be renewing my lease here."
"My service dog, kitty cat, and myself love calling The Dalton our home. Kennedi and Gunner have always been professional and quick to respond to any issue we may encounter. They have strived to be extremely accommodating at all times and communicating with them is consistently an efficient and friendly experience. Our favorite amenity is the large Dog park! My service animal throughly enjoys visiting and seeing her other furry friends. I would recommend this complex to others especially if you are looking for somewhere pet friendly."
"*WARNING* *THIS REVIEW MIGHT TRIGGER MYRMECOPHOBIA* There has not been a single month living here where I've been at peace. I've lived here for three months and I've had a major issue every single month. Please keep in mind these apartments are brand new so it's only going to get worse as the building ages. I live in one of the more expensive corner units with the larger balconies facing the pool so you'd think I'd at least get some sort of benefit since we're in the eye of potential new residents. NOPE! First water quality. The water smells terrible unless you let it run for a solid three minutes. You'll always be cleaning your shower and toilet because the water will stain them way faster than anything you're used to. I used to deep clean my apartment every month now I need to do it every week! Water damage keeps appearing all over the place as you can see in other reviews. A regular rainy day can lead to leaks. My water damage was on the roof of my shower. My neighbors shower was leaking on to mine. The hole was large and it made one of my showers useless for close to a month since they needed to bring in a plummer to fix the pipes and then another guy to patch the hole and clean up the water damage. SO MANY BUGS! Roches, Ants, Crickets you name it you'll find them in your apartment no matter how clean you are. If you leave any dishes with food overnight you'll wake up to a swarm of bugs on them. I've invested in more bug spray these last three months than I have over the span of my entire life. I've had my apartment spotless and still ants and roaches will break in. IT'S EXHAUSTING! Hornet nests all over! We pay 60-70 dollars a month for 'pest control' but the nests have been there for months. They just pocket the money and do nothing. This last one isn't the fault of the apartment itself but it's the straw that broke the camels back and made me write this review. Several neighbors have their dogs just out in their balconies all day and all night. Don't get me wrong I let my dog out to the balcony too but never for the entire day. These dogs spend all day barking at anyone and anything that walks by so it makes it hard to work from home. I have nothing negative to say about the be staff. My interactions with them have all been great. It's really disappointing since they try really hard to keep us happy with community events and they keep our amenities very clean and organized. It's the build quality of these apartments that makes them terrible. Don't make the same mistake we did. The negative reviews on this place are very serious and you should consider other apartments with less issues. The buildings and units look very nice but are terrible to live in. I have a long lease here so I'll update my review if the living conditions here improve."
"Looks nice but it’s not. This review will be from someone who lived there for over a year. So you can get a sense of living here. When we moved in, the apartment was dirty from construction. We were told it was cleaned but it wasn’t. Another flaw was that our fridge that was in our unit was a temporary one and were told we would get it the following month. We would ask constantly to the leasing office and they would always push it back or didn’t know a date. We would see that they had put new fridges on the units that were vacant but not ours and we weren’t the only ones with a temp fridge. Took us 3 months for us to get ‘em. Also other reviews mentioned that they’ve had ants and so did we. We would get the pest control to come out but they wouldn’t go away so we had to buy our own ant spray and traps. We also had them all over our front door. Now on to the worst part. We had two different roof leaks. We had a roof leak a month after being there next to our living room window and these are brand new construction. We put a service request and they only went to put caulking to stop it which it did. Fast forward to thanksgiving, we were gone for a week and when we came back, our living room wall where our tv was, had a serious water leak! Put a service request for that and took them over a month to come and fix it. Will add pictures to reference. We thought the roof leaks had stopped but nope. 4 months before our lease ended we had another bad leak in the same spot where they put the caulking. That took them 3 months to get it “fixed” yet it continued. Hence one of the reason for us leaving. Terrible management. Only good service is their concierge Shayne. They will also make fake reviews from employees to up their “good” reviews. They Kept charging us late fees for paying on time. There was also a change of ownership and if the leasing team wasn’t bad it went to worse. We also had a month where we had to pay in a check due to their new system not being up in time which incurred fees. One of the worst part was also not keeping us in the loop or communication whatsoever. They would never tell us when maintenance will be entering the apartment. They would just come at random times. We would all of the sudden just get random knocks on our door from maintenance at 7am even after we would tell them to give us a call ahead due to us working late and didn’t want to get our sleep interrupted. Also raised prices on our renewal whenever there’s the same floor plan units that have been vacant since November and lowered their prices. Side gate has never worked as they never finished it so we would have to exit through front gate which was alway broken anyways and they wouldn’t fix. Amenities such as free coffee machine would always break down. When we moved out we were also charged ridiculous fees for a stain that was outside the hallway of the apartment. Overall would not recommend this place, go elsewhere."
