"This place is horrible. They were built in the 70’s and “renovated”. You will experience the things that come with an old building, one central air pump for the entire complex. It needs to be below/above 60F for the system to switch to heating or cooling. If it breaks down you will be without, so just imagine in the summer or winter what that is like. It’s also a mercury thermostat in unit and it does not accurately read the temperature. There is a pest problem, roaches that are deeply infested. They are crawling on floors, walls, falling from ceilings and even the outside walls. They do fall from the ceiling and crawl into the shower with you. The pest control treatment, Actisol doesn’t even work. The roaches are untreatable and you can smell their odor. There is a mold issue because of multiple units having floods and water damage. The AC drains into the tubs and sometimes they will cause flooding. The AC vents are not cleaned and filters are not changed so the apartment gets dusty and dirty frequently, like 3 days after cleaning you will have to clean again. The washer and dryer is just out in the open and they are loud in-unit. It vents into an interior wall…not sure how safe that is. The units are not uniform, they are each renovated at different levels and even at those levels there’s differences. Units with out lights, without ceiling fans but with lights, different cabinets and counters, with and without washer/dryers, floors etc. The units are dark because there is poor natural light access. The walls are thin and you can hear neighbors clearly talking at normal volumes. They are “renovated” because they have new cabinetry and “ landlord special” painted everything else. They painted deadbolts, door handles, tub, light switches, and in -unit stairs white. The white stairs collect so much dirt and debris. The tenant is responsible for changing the bathroom bulbs but the fixtures are placed in a way that you have to remove it from the wall/ceiling to access the bulbs. The amenities are not what I would call amenities. The pool is okay. The laundry room door constantly breaks and you are double paying water for the complex/unit and then paying out of pocket to use the laundry. When it is wet/raining, the ground outside of the laundry room is slippery. Not enough machines for how many residents there are. The work out equipment is outside, rain and shine, and no one uses it. The parking garage and upper deck is frequently broken and they are not cheap spots either. Yes, the maintenance team does the best they can. They often run behind because multiple units are having issues. There were two men for the complex in 2022-2023. The management is horrible with addressing issues and really doesn’t care about fixing issues. They will lose your rent payment if you pay in person. They do not care. The staff has changed but I do not see any improvement. They can renovate but the building just needs to be demolished for how old it is and the problems that cannot be fixed."
"Honestly after moving into Austin I had a hard time finding a place to live that had a decent price point and nice amenities to go along I read some reviews from the past but decided to give it a shot and from the look of it after the new management took over there’s a lot more to be grateful about living in here Plus the pool is awesome"
