"If it's not one thing it's another. Coming up on 21 days without hot water; I've reported the issue several times and still don't have a clear timeline for repair. The roof has been leaking for months to the point that the drywall has been falling from the ceiling onto the floor. They've come by and looked at it and tried to paint over it- I'm sure there is mold in the ceiling at this point. I didn't have access to the gym for a couple of weeks. I called, left messages and e-mails and got no response. Trash doesn't get picked up when they say it will be. Access to the pool has been locked off several times without explanation. New management seems to be unresponsive, if not nonexistent."
"I hate confrontation so much, I will literally just go along with something to avoid it. I’ve lived at this apartment since august 2022. Since the beginning I’ve had pest issues detailed below. And even worse I can’t use my washer or dryer bc the roaches live in the plumbing and anytime you use the washer they come out in droves. A year in they decided to tack on a monthly $50 washer dryer utility fee I didn’t even try to fight. I just paid it. There have been three or four different companies that have taken charge. I’ve had zero issues with management until RPM took over. They lost my rent check in October and the first I heard of it was November 1st when I couldn’t pay rent because of an unpaid balance. I went to check in with them and they said they’d set me up on a payment plan and get back to me. I paid Novembers rent in the mail, and checked in weekly. No response. December same song and dance. January comes and goes the same way. But then a week later they decide they don’t do payment plans and I have a week to pay up or move out. Luckily I was able to get the money together but it was at this point I threatened in an email to not pay and instead leave if they didn’t fix the issues below. When I moved in there was a roach problem, so I sprayed myself every six months. This last spray didn’t have any effect and it was rather concerning as roaches live in the plumbing so I finally got around to begging management to do something. They only did after I threatened to post a review. And only once, I’m still seeing roaches but not at the rate of 25 a day, they’re much less frequent now maybe 5 a day. However that maybe because the first week of December my oven broke. I mean the entire appliance stopped working. So I’ve been eating with an electric skillet. Seeing as I bake most of my food this is a major problem, and when I went to ask the office I was told to reset the breaker. I explained to her that everything else connected in the kitchen was on, but she insisted. So I did and when that didn’t magically solve the problem, she told me she’d send maintenance over that day. Nothing happened. I kept asking and no response. When I threatened with the review they finally sent someone over, and apparently ordered a part. Two weeks ago. When I just checked in the office said they have no idea what I was talking about and they’d get back to me. I’m at a loss. It’s been two months without a major appliance. I can’t get a toaster or a microwave or an air fryer bc the roaches will live inside- trust me I tried. The rent might be cheap but it’s not worth the living conditions, not to mention that every time you go to the office it’s new staff and they have no idea what your talking about. Be very cautious deciding to move in here. I don’t recommend I can guarantee I won’t be resigning and if I don’t have a stove before, I’ll be moving out during spring break."
"I lived here for one year and I’m so glad I left as soon as I could. Roaches were a problem from day one, and it stayed that way for a long time until I had to beg the maintenance and exterminator to actually do something. The place was dirty and cheap. Front office staff was always dismissive. I saw another comment here about them not treating the stairs during the freeze- I lived there during that time and can confirm it was very dangerous living on the 3rd floor. If you’re reading this and considering moving here, I highly recommend you don’t. Response to owner: I lived in unit A-305 2020-2021! Hope that helps you verify me"
"Update: I moved out over 60 days ago, I still haven’t received my refunded deposit. I was told it should have only taken 30 days, if you care about where your money is going I’d stay far away from these horrendous apartments. If you care about your safety, stay away. MJP is the most unsafe place I’ve ever lived, the buildings are literally falling apart. Your neighbors are homeless people squatting in abandoned apartments. Drugged out homeless people screaming in the middle of the night, breaking into cars, putting their blood on peoples cars, using the pool as their personal bath house and using drugs in the pool area. Cockroaches infiltrate your home and can be found all over your home regardless how clean you keep your place. Green pools from not being for days on end. Maintenance people are careless and will throw things from the roofs, take your clothes to clean up their messes, work orders take forever to fulfill. The office staff is horrendous and could care less about tenants, ove my 1 year of living here, each time I call the office there’s a new employee who is clueless. During the winter storm they didn’t even care to salt the stairs which resulted in me slipping and falling. They completely abandoned us as we endured a week of no power. I’ve had leaks from the upstairs neighbors, paint fumes from apartments that had been painted so bad that the fumes made me nauseous. These apartments are holding on by a string, most everyone who’s lived there ends up leaving and not resigning because his disgusting the buildings and neighborhood has become."
"I lived at Mission James for a year and absolutely loved my cozy little apartment. The only reason I moved is because I have a large dog and wanted a yard for her. Unfortunately, their units do not have yards or I would have stayed. The office staff is very friendly and welcoming. I never had any issues and maintenance requests (which were very few) were addressed quickly."
