Tab's Cafe

"Me and my boyfriend came into Alton for the day to walk around and have lunch. We did not have set plans on where to eat, so when we came here we were rolling the dice. I loved everything about this place. The man at the front was very nice and attentive. The music was a great addition to the atmosphere. I had a bacon egg and cheese croissant, hasbrowns with cheese and my boyfriend had mozzarella sticks. We wanted something quick to eat and it was just that. The breakfast sandwich was perfect. A lot of breakfast places have their croissants come out with a bunch of grease like it was pressed on a grill full of grease but this breakfast sandwich was not like that. It was perfectly baked and cooked and not overdone with butter or oil. If I lived here, it would be hard not to eat here every day!"

"Hands down the best Philly Cheese I have ever eaten. And I am 54. My fiance had the enormous burger and it filled him up. By the way he is 6'6". If you love jazz this is your joint."
