"Stay away from this apartment complex! Their business model seems to be focused on taking advantage of residents at every opportunity. They impose sky-high rent increases for "good tenants," charge exorbitant late fees if rent is only a few days late, and often fail to return deposits. This pattern is evident in many reviews. My experience hit a low point when they posted a notice to vacate letter on my door, despite my having paid my rent in full and having signed receipts from the property manager to prove it. Instead of addressing critical issues like broken gates, doors, trash in the hallways, and stolen packages, they prioritize squeezing money out of renters. Despite my several attempts to resolve our issues in good faith, I was only met with "that's our policy." There is a reason they have the lowest rating in the area and over 40 plus empty units. I am pursuing legal action against this complex, and I strongly advise others to steer clear."
"Spent 2 years with the Alden and my experience here was great. I had 2 or 3 minor maintenance things that came up in my time here and they were promptly repaired. I would stay longer but my commute is getting the better of me so I’m moving to be closer to work. I’m going to miss the automatic door locks and thermostat control."
"TLDR: We are, sadly, currently residing at the Alden. For you, my advice is STAY AWAY until managment is replaced. While facilities are nice, the management at the complex expects tenants to solve management's problems, and not the other way around. Details: - Trash and cleanliness - overflowing trash is a constant health hazard with no accountability by management. After a year of sending emails+raising trash fees, I'd expect solutions. There were several months with animal feces in the elevators. The solution - emails. - Apartment receipt - We couldn't even stay at the apartment for 2 nights after receiving it because the shower was resurfaced causing a foul smell that lasted for months. That bad. Moreover, we received a filthy apartment, no cleaning service was there to rectify the situation. We had to pay $150 to have it deep cleaned and were then offered $45 from the complex. By email... - Parking - The Alden is located in a location that is only of interest to those who live here. Management recently put in place a policy in which ALL cars must be registered or towed. The policy was not circulated to all residents via email. Selling a desk on FB marketplace? Have a Walmart delivery coming - try asking the person for their vehicle details and see how that goes. We had our nanny towed because incosistent signage was utterly confusing. A sign per parking space in one section vs a single sign for 12 spots, across 100 or so feet where she parked. To prove this is the case - after we confronted the complex they decided to send a clarification. Of course - no apology or financial restitution. Complex issue - your problem. Let's email about it... To add pain to suffering, permits are single day use and can only be issues the same day. At this point I'm afraid to have anyone over so they don't get towed. To add to the irony - management failed to repair the main gate to the parking lot for 6 or so months. But hey - they sent email updates often indicating it's broken, so there's that. - Illegal substances - Smoking is not allowed, but marijuana smell is a common aroma. Regardless of one's view - it is a fire hazard. Not even an email... Hopefully this helps you steer well away."
"10/10 recommend. I have been living here 7 months and Management is very professional and friendly and they answer any and all questions. Nick is normally at the front desk and he is always helpful. I’ve barely needed to call maintenance for anything but when I do, the maintenance team is nice and tends to everything in a timely manner. The apartment complex itself is conveniently located near shopping stores and have a spacious and beautifully decorated lobby area to play pool, play provided board games, watch tv, or work/study . They also allow you to check out a bike if you want to get around the area. The parking garage is also super convenient as parking is never an issue. If you are considering moving here, I’m sure you won’t be disappointed ."
"I have been a resident of the Alden for 3 years and have thoroughly enjoyed being a resident of this property. I am especially pleased with the response time of any maintenance concerns I might have. I appreciate the level of customer (resident) service which is provided by the front office. Everyone in the leasing office is friendly and helpful. A special thank you to the assistant property manager Danzelle for his high level professionalism."
