Hampton Inn & Suites Cedar Park North Austin

"At first it all looks great. Staff is friendly, even when I checked in at 11PM. The rooms are good and clean, good location, it’s quiet and pleasant. There are a few good places nearby that are at a walkable distance. But that’s where the good things end. The water in the shower is not very hot. It was fine for me, but my colleague which was in another room said it was on the cold side. The bed is super firm. It feels like one of those very old spring beds (you can feel the spring frame as well at some points) there was also a weird but tolerable smell in my room from the a/c unit. Possibly due to it needing a refresh. I didn’t complain about it mainly cause don’t mind it too much. But speaking of the a/c unit, when you turn it off so it won’t make noise, the dehumidifier stays on and stays on 24/7 without there being a way to turn it off, I find that quite annoying since I prefer sleeping without noise. To be completely fair to them, they offered for me to change rooms, which I refused, because it’ll just be the same in other rooms. WiFi is paid unless you join their Hilton honors. I hate that because nearly every other hotel has free basic WiFi without needing to sign up for an account. The breakfast is very lackluster. There barely is any food. What I saw is yogurts, waffles, eggs, sausages, potato tater tots, I think oat meal, and 2 types of fruit. Then you have the standard drinks. There is also very limited seating, so keep that in mind too. Moving to the outside, the pool, don’t bother. It’s a tiny pool, and it was full of algae during my stay. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a pool at a hotel this bad. I personally won’t be returning here, and after experiencing these issues here and at all the other Hilton locations I’ve been at, I won’t be returning to any hotel with the name Hilton on it unless there’s no other option."

"Very firm beds and very soft pillows. I can handle all that but we went 0 for 4 for hot showers. Neither of us had a hot shower our entire stay and took them at different times of day."

"This was very disappointing stay. The positives are the property & location. It is a nice facility and our room was good except there was no hot water. The service here was horrible, especially the breakfast. There was hardly any food on Sat & Sun morning and it was not very busy. No hot food (eggs, sausage, oatmeal) at all but the empty trays were there. No fruit and getting a cup of coffee was a project as the urns were always empty. Bagels had mold. The worst Hampton breakfast I have ever seen. We were there 3 nights and we never had room service. No one emptied the trash or provided clean towels. The sign said expect housekeeping every other day but it was missing in action like the breakfast. We won't be back here again"

"This place is a dumpster, avoid at all cost. We checked in and was not informed that there was no hot water. The temperature outside was on the 30s so imagine how inconvenient this was. Front desk personnel is useless and did not had a clear resolution or option and manager was never to be seen. Promised to refund a night but once we checked out they change their tune and pretty much offered a few measly reward points. This roach motel is a shame to the Hilton family. you are better off staying at a crack house in the hood."

"Great hotel! Right in the heart of cedar park area. Perfect location by dining and shopping. The staff was very friendly and easy check in. The rooms and property were very clean and very nice. The room even had a welcome screen with my name on it on the TV with I really found welcoming. Super nice property and good free breakfast. Easy parking too. Would stay again and highly recommend."
