"Illegally denying my security deposit refund When I first moved in I was happy with the newly updated and clean layout. I was really excited to have a nice affordable two bedroom home for me and my son as I am a single mother. It was not perfect and had some issues mentioned here in other reviews, but it suited us for the time being. Life events took place and I found myself not renewing my lease. I was only in the unit one year, I left the unit in perfect condition, just how I found it. I had cleaned everything before leaving as well. I have videos confirming and time stamping everything. My security deposit was $500.00 and I was only returned $104.00. I thought this cannot be, and it has to be a mistake because I need this money. I contacted the office and management who was quick to say they don't know why I was charged this and never refunded me. I had a lot of back and forth with management via email, and they finally provided their reasoning to why the $400 was taken off my return and stated it was because of cleaning and repainting the walls. That was it, no damages. Well, cleaning and repainting for the next tenant to move in is under Texas' wear and tear law, stating that the landlord cannot charge tenants for normal wear and tear upon moving out. Even when I spoke to someone higher up in the office they sent me their quote from the painters who came to repaint the walls. They literally billed me their obligation so they could eat the cost. I tried to fight this, as it is not legal and is unethical, and that I really needed the money. I would not be surprised if this is not the first time this has occurred here, and that they bank on the fact they are an income based complex so most of the people can't follow through with legal action for these mal practices. And unfortunately for me, I can't feed my kid and also hire an attorney. Do not move here."
"The worst place to live. Please save yourself the headache and do not live here. Maintenance never comes when you need them and when they do they do they do it the slowest way possible or not at all. Our whole building is infested with German Roaches and ants. When I asked for pest control they came once and then never again until I had to call the office directly to tell them it was still an issue, only then did they do the bare minimum for an infestation. The appliances have all broken at least once (our oven doesnt even work.) Multiple things falling apart from the cover ups they did. Lastly, Management only replies to your concerns when it just about the rent. I sent a formal letter of complaint and nothing was addressed, only a paper for the pest control to do the bare minimum again. Oh I almost forgot they have the most ridiculous house rules and if you violate for even a day they come and take pictures or your unit and give you a notice of eviction or tow your car for parking backward. If I could give this place zero stars I would."
"If I could give zero stars, I would. I applied for this place and had too JUMP THROUGH HOOPS just to get all my paperwork in. I was told 2 weeks ago I would be able to move in today, March 3rd. Here it is, March 3rd, I've been calling all week and Monday was told by Jeremy that he submitted my application the week before that and it should've been done but he would call me back. He never called back so I called the next day and spoke to the office manager. I was told then that my app had been submitted the day before that (so I was lied too) but that she would check on it and call me back. Guess who never called back? So the day before I'm supposed to be packing my house and moving in comes and I still don't even know if I'm approved. What would any logical person do? I went and found a new place to live. I get a call from them the day I'm supposed to move in at 12 30 in the afternoon saying "hey if you come sign some more paperwork we can submit that, then approve you, then you can move in. The day I'm supposed to already have the keys in my hand. Obviously I'm mad and tell them I want my $300 deposit back. Did I get that deposit back? NO AND THE GUY WHO WORKED THERE YELLED AT ME ABOUT IT! absolutely unprofessional, and an all around awful experience. Do not by any means ever try to live here, any other low income apartment would be a better choice with a better staff."
"These apartments have been handed off and changed management three times in the last year. They just fired all of their staff and have no maintenance, no manager and no one to answer the phone when you call...until further notice. There is literally a letter posted on the front door of the office to corporate that never answers the phone and that is where you are to direct your complaints to you. If you want to live in a place like this be my guest, I for one will be leaving as soon as my lease is up and will not look back. I've lived here for three years and in the beginning it was a great place to live with great management, over time they have let just anybody move in and the management has gone downhill to say the least. They allow residents to have their dogs off leash and there is a pet feces all over the lawn that is never picked up, all of the grass is dead now because of it and there is an unleashed pitbull that runs around the apartment complex, this is not safe for anyone!! When you go into the office they speak to you like you don't know what you're talking about, they make promises they will not keep, they're just there to collect rent and that's it. They even refused to give me a package that I had a door hanger for that was literally sitting in plain sight because they said that they're not accepting packages anymore even though I contacted FedEx and proved that they signed for it. I had to file a report with FedEx and the driver had to come down and make them give me my package! If anything needs maintenance you'll wait weeks until they'll fix it and even then you'll have to contact the corporate office and threaten to go over their heads as well. The list goes on and on, but I only have so much time today so just take my warning and stay away from this place! It's a complete nightmare!!"
