"They tried very hard to make this authentic Mexican food. They kindly allowed us to pay for their corn tortilla chips that are normally free at Mexican restaurants. The corn tortilla chips were cooked too well and the salsa had a lot of tomatoes. Our waitress was great and responsive. The service time was good. There was a lot of cheese. If you’re worrying about food being too spicy, don’t worry about that here, as they don’t use much seasoning"

"A wonderful Midwest tex-mex restaurant that is not authentic but with good home cooked deliciousness. I had the soft taco plate. Three deep fried flour tacos with rice and beans. It was more than filling with fresh delicious toppings. The ground beef was a bit plain but overall was very good. The fried flour chips were a welcome change from the usual corn chips. The staff was very pleasant and there was little wait for our food. Overall a wonderful place to have lunch."

"Definitely not as good as it used to be. None of it made any of the 25 people in our party wish to come back again. The server we had did well, but hopefully he is able to move employment elsewhere as Amigos has only gone down hill over the years. The margaritas were tasty but very small for the price."

"A surprise to find Tex-Mex food this far north, yet they miss some of the ethos of the dining. Normally the restaurant charges a little more for the food so that the chips are gratis. They have an interesting fried flour cut tortillas."
