"We were going to stop next door at Wendy's and spotted El Nopal Mexican Restaurant. We are so glad we changed our minds. Greeted as soon as we walked in the door and ushered to a table. Drink order taken, and a huge bowl of chips and salsa brought complimentary to our table. Our order was brought out hot and fresh very quickly, and it was delicious. The staff was friendly and attentive. I was impressed with everything about this restaurant, including price. Best meal we had on this mini vacation."

"The El Nopal Mexican Restaurant in Palmyra, Missouri has good food and relatively decent service. However, this rating is lower than it could have been due to the lack of staff on a Saturday in the late afternoon. It was 4p and there appeared to be only one employee seating folks. The gentleman did not make eye contact, nor speak, he just tossed three menus on the table and walked away. I can understand being busy and short staffed however if this is the type of interaction they feel is adequate, or lack thereof, this will not keep the guests coming for the good food. I don't intend to be back until I hear service has improved."
