"We have absolutely loved this practice over the last 4 years and have truly had nothing but positive experiences. Our children both see Dr. McDonald; she is an absolute sweetheart who pours her heart and soul into caring for her patients. She has a very warm spirit and genuine personality and both my boys love going to see her because she is so calm and kind. As a doctor, her holistic approach is perfect for our family: she is a very good listener and gets the full picture before offering her guidance. She has a great ability to deliver critical medical advice, while empowering us at the same time. We always leave her office feeling better and less stressed, knowing we have a plan forward. One of our sons has Celiac and EOE, and she has been great about following his progress and making sure we are staying on top of the added vitamins he needs, blood testing, etc. It's been nice to know she follows his progress. We have never felt like our kids are "just another patient" here, which is a testament to her heart and character! Whenever the office gets super busy and we have a last minute booking need, the office staff have been very accommodating in working us into the schedule with someone else on staff, if Dr. McDonald isn't available that day. Little ones get sick often, and it's been comforting knowing we have such a great team to help us with everything - whether it's been a bump on the head, eczema, the flu, ear infections, covid, etc. We've seen Dr. Parkerson, Dr. Muehe, Dr. Butler, NP Janice, etc. during those occaisions, and we have felt very comfortable with them all and are very grateful for their care. Thank you Texas Children's Sterling Ridge! "
"I’ve been bringing my kids here for years and never had any issues with the front desk or any of the staff. Everyone is super nice and friendly. I love the ease of making appointments through MyChart. I also love that we can message the doctors or staff through MyChart. You can’t go wrong with any doctor here, but we absolutely love Dr Parkerson and Nurse Janice!!!"
"We’ve been coming to Texas Children's Pediatrics Sterling Ridge for about five years. Both our boys have been in countless times for daycare illnesses. We see Dr McDonald normally and Dr Butler on occasion, they’re great. You find out who’s a good doctor when things go wrong. They noticed an issue early at the 6mo checkup which led to a specialist referral and an early diagnosis. We are so thankful for that. You can’t beat a network that also has Urgent Care and Specialists nearby, too. They always get us in on a moments notice. If it’s the middle of the night, we use the nurse hotline. Can’t say enough good things about Texas Children’s."
"The doctors are wonderful. The administrative and desk staff are a different story. I have had to wait the last three visits to verify insurance that has not changed in a year. Once was after speaking with an on-site office staff member the day before the appointment to confirm these details. When I informed the staff of this, they simply said there were no notes to address this and I would have to wait to verify AGAIN and may not be able to even be seen that day, as scheduled. They are disorganized, overly process oriented, unable to deviate from a standard algorithm, and then make you, the CUSTOMER, suffer the consequences of their errors."
"Complete disregard or respect for other person’s time. But in turn, expect their time to be respected. Cancel appointments over and over again. Not a good look. And not bothered by their front office issues. I guess it works for them, I’ll find another office with more respect to patients and their families. Whoever Kenya is and answers the phone, they need to pay their employees better in order to hire better staff who is respectful and understands how to speak over the phone. Every time I call or I get called, their staff is subpar at best. Terrible. You get what you pay for. This lady, multiple times speaks over you, doesn’t let you answer, nearly hangs up the phone on me while I’m asking a question, has an obvious attitude about answering the phone or even calling me, I don’t know what the issue is but she either hates her job, does not care about customer service, or again you get what you pay for. I am sure that if the pay increases, this office could probably staff with better personnel who is somewhat educated or has customer service skills."
