"I don't normally write reviews, but I felt the need to forewarn others in this case. I set up my annual clean and check on my furnace but had my elderly mother meet the technician for the appointment since I was at work. I was having no issues with my furnace yet the technician claimed I had a cracked heat exchanger. Told my elderly mother that I needed to get a CO2 detector, that it was not safe, shut off the gas valve and said I would need to get a new furnace. Charged me full price for a cleaning, which was never done. I decided to get a second opinion from a different company. The new technician ran a combustion test twice that did not indicate any issues or problems. This new technician also ran a series of tests for CO2 and found no trace. When I received the report from Bomar, the technician had written no notes whatsoever. No combustion test ran, not even a note about the supposed crack in the heat exchanger. It was a blank report with a check mark at the end. There was some kind of photo included, but you could not make out anything in it. My furnace continues to run fine. I will not be using Bomar ever again. If you use them, I would advise asking for a complete report with results of any tests run."
