Tanglewood Apartments

"The only thing that has stopped me from posting a bad review over the 3 years and 3 different apt that I have lived in here is the staff overs those 3 years. They were nice people, minus the maintenance man at that time stalking me and a few other residents. Including a minor. They did everything that they could to help with things because they knew that this place had so many problems because of how old it is. However, they are all gone now and the new manager is rude and only seems to care about the rent and evicting people more than the tenants well being. Some tenants have been here for over 20years and they do not care. My current apt has had the same old appliances, including a oven from the 60s with knobs you cannot even read to cook properly. A uncovered drain in one of my showers the size of a saucer plate. A broken toilet, broken cabinets, leaking kitchen sink, kitchen drawers that get stuck when you close them all the way, closet doors that keep breaking for a years. My A/C has broken twice. The water in one of my showers comes out brown when you first run the water and countless other issues. I have had countless work orders put in that were not completed but I get notifications stating that they have been completed. I had to catch and kill a mouse on my own. Roaches are everywhere. Yet, you have the nerve to act like you are putting up with us. Absolutely ridiculous."

"Nick was very helpful and went the distance to make sure that I was assisted in every way. At times, I felt sorry for him because he had so many people he had to attend to, and some people he could not get to because he was attending to other people, so those that were not attended to left. He needs help. Other leasing agents should know that Nick sets the bar on a level of customer service that is seldom noticed. Nick could teach a class on how to provide customer service. It is this level of service that makes living here a pleasure and an experience beyond expectation. Thank you Nick. This posting WAS NOT paid for. "It was a pleasure to have been a resident at Tanglewood Apts. Extreme level of professionalism from Nick, Matt and Robert!!!! Any issues, questions or concerns were always addressed quickly. Everyone in the complex is also extremely friendly. Great area to live in especially if you have school-age children, the schools are very close to the complex."

"Did a tour of this place with a friend. They moved in and have told me some things. Photos shown of apartments has got to be a certain section because that is not what they look like. Do not give you new appliances like in the photos, not actual nice counter tops but some kind of DIY white paint w black dots splattered everywhere? When they repaint for new residents all of the cabinets & drawers are stuck together by the paint. I guess some of the units have W/D or W/D hookups but definitely not all of them so ASK AND ASK AGAIN if your unit will. Definitely clean your apartment when you move in because they hardly do. Check the water pressure from all faucets. Check garbage disposal. The paint job was awful, paint spots all over the floors. Ceiling fans shake. Just know you might not get what you think you’re getting so tour first of the unit you are expecting to get. NOT wheelchair accessible, lots of random stairs and hills. Even to get into a building to enter the apartment has stairs. Otherwise, safe and friendly people in this complex. Good maintenance man, very fast. Good location. Quiet. Just old with the expected issues of an old apartment, renovated or not. Lots of trees, nice walk ways. Mailboxes are not closed and are just open to anyone to grab your stuff although no one seems to be the type to do that here. Reserved parking with those annoying poles that dont let you get out of the car lol. 2 entrances into your apartment. Just know you will hear people coming in and out of their apartment & the building itself because the doors are loud and squeaky."

"We lived here for a year and it was a terrible experience. Had a severe roach infestation because the apartments are so old and no matter how many complaints were put in, nothing was ever done and pest control was never called. I even saw a few rats come out of the pipes in the laundry rooms. They turned off the water for maintenance work every week and sometimes more than once a week for hours on end. The price offered for lease renewal went up a ridiculous amount and what we paid originally was not even worth the place. When turning in keys to move out, the new property manager was very rude and never let me finish a sentence before he would interrupt."
