Alamo Park Apartments

"I moved here in August and I love it here so far! The staff has been very responsive to emails and my move-in went smoothly without a hitch. The apartment is great, the grounds are well maintained, and there's plenty of parking. Living here is a dream compared to the nightmare of living in my previous apartment! Thanks to all the help that Sasha provided me with, I am truly amazed with my place and happy on how everything went, she was an amazing help, provided assistance every step of the way, and was more then happy to do so. I wish every complex had their own Sasha lol. Ive never lived in a better complex! Maintenance is quick, the neighborhood is quiet and beautiful. The floor plans are great and actually make sense for living. There are so many places with weird and awkward layouts and though I chose a smaller unit, it was so well set up, that it never felt small. The community is very friendly. There are always people walking pets and my neighbors were very kind. Finally, the location is perfection. It feels quiet, but is also not far from your ideal stores and what may have you and most are all within a mile or so, as well as great fast casual dining for the nights I didn't feel like cooking. My commute was a breeze as well. no longer working remotely from a distance. Can go into the house and work remotely as I please without having an almost hour commute back in forth with traffic included. All in all, this place is a 10/10 and would definitely recommend it to anyone who is looking for a new place to call home!"

"Not recommended. Four year resident... I was not in the best credit situation when I first found these apartments. But I got in easy enough. At that time the complex looked decent for the location and amount of rent. I believed at the time I would not be there long. A long term resident once shared that the quality and cleanliness of the complex had gone way down in the ten years she was living there. ( over flowing trash bins, residents dumping used furniture, beds, tvs etc.) Four years later I was still living there even though my financial picture had improved significantly. smdh. I have had maintenance issues since my first year...most of which took months to resolve. My main issue (non-functioning electrical outlets took 4 - FOUR years!!! to resolve. And when the workers finally came in they did one of the worst wall patch jobs I have ever seen. My neighbor across from me had an issue that was still unresolved after 7 years. One of the last maintenance issues I had was a constant running toilet. It ran all day and all night. I put in 5 maintenance requests over 6 months and no one addressed my issues. I finally went to the leasing office and made a loud verbal request (no cursing but I sure wanted to) Rene (mgr assistant) insulted my intelligence by suggesting I reach down beneath the toilet and shut off the water manually when I needed to! Grrrr I threw up my hands angrily and said I'm done - I'm out of here! Suffice to say I put my notice to terminate my lease within the week. During the big Freeze Feb 2021I was without electricity for 48 hours and without running water in my building for 14 days. Neighbors failed to leave faucets dripping during freezing temps... resulted in burst water pipes (not mine) all over the complex. Texas in general and San Antonio in particular is not prepared for inclement weather. There were also stray dogs roaming the property for more than 9 months. Myself and any guests I had felt unsafe just getting from the parking lot. MGMT Company claimed they informed animal control but nothing happened. The dogs were still roaming. Residents sadly also kept feeding the animals. I eventually called animal control and within a week two of the three wild dogs were captured ( i witnessed the capture myself.) I moved out of my apartment 30 days before my lease ended. When I returned to do my final close out the one dog was still roaming the property after 10 months! Lastly these people have the nerve to charge me spot cleaning fees for normal wear and tear after four years - One nail hole and a bath tub where the old tub resurfacing was coming off. I'm disputing these fee. I can honestly say I would NEVER recommend Alamo Park Apartments to anyone. Buyer beware. Truly you get what you pay for."

"For the area, not a bad place to live. Peaceful, no bugs in my building even if neighbors don't say the same. I got the occasional wasp here during spring early summer but otherwise bug free. Everyone "seems" to lookout for everyone. It'd been nice living here over all. The biggest complaint and quite literally the only issue that has been very consistent is with communication between the office staff and myself. Main issues that're bound to come about are due to the property not being brand new, again aside from any communication, just don't expect it at all. There have been numerous amounts of work orders or calls or coming up into the office myself to try to get something handled, but no one (aka Hailey or Rene) seems to be motivated to do anything in the office expect Katie. Praise God for Katie. Rene and Hailey have been RUDE but ultimately Katie has been very pleasant making the overall experience, 'pleasant.' Communication is the key to success and if these people could just comprehend that maybe they'd be a little bit further along in their careers instead of leaning to the right side other desk when the resident they fear walks in the office for a package, going to hide out of sight in order to not be called out in person for dropping the ball like a donkey. You've been called out, but okay continue to play your defensive card instead of maintaining a professional approach and I'll have your job, HAILEY. Again, praise God for Katie."

"My experience here was probably by far the worst. Rene was pretty forward at the beginning when I was looking at the complex. I applied 2 months before I planned on moving into the complex. Meaning the complex had plenty of time to “make ready” my unit. My big day came for move in. This is what ready for move in looked like. At the end of the day I terminated the lease because Alamo park did not uphold their end of the lease agreement. I’m happy I did not stay here. If walking into problems like this at the beginning of my lease I can only imagine how I would be treated in the future. Wasted money and time on a poorly ran complex. Not only am I out hundreds of dollars because of this management team. It took another month and a half to receive my $300 dollar deposit for an apartment I never moved into. All I can say is keep looking there’s plenty other places out there!"

"the WORST place anyone could ever rent is definitely here. from the moment I signed my lease I had nothing but constant issues that were never resolved. I was unable to finish off my lease due to the CRAZY AND DISGUSTING roach infestation that I was moved into. the day I got my keys there was roaches crawling on the walls, dead roaches all over the floor and counters, the issue only began to become worse. they will tell you over and over not to leave no food out, nothing on the counters to prevent roaches but that was proven to do nothing. they began to infest my whole apartment along with inside of my freezer, fridge, oven and pantry to the point where I had to discard over $400 worth of food and was only given a petty $100 as my reimbursement. I had pest control come by multiple times, that never did anything. I was even advised to do a whole clean out which I did and that never did anything, it actually made it worse. They do not care about you, your health or the health of your children as I had constantly brought to their attention I have a toddler and they were never empathetic towards our situation. There was countless of times I saw roaches crawling on my toddlers toys, bottles, clothes.. even one crawled to my toddlers face as they slept. I would not recommend this place to ANYONE ever, they will tell you there is no issue or infestation that it’s only your unit but if you ask around it’s the WHOLE building. At least all of building 4. After signed a 30 notice to move out 2 days into the 30 days maintenance came to add a burglar bar to my sliding door as I had NOT had one the whole time I was in my lease which was about 5-6 months (even though they claim all residents should have one for safety reasons but mine never did). Due to the burglar bar being faulty my toddler was locked inside by themselves because the bar fell on its own while i set outside on my patio. When I called the office to have someone come unlock my door SASHA showed no empathy or urgency to help and told me I needed to wait 45 minutes for someone to come and break down my door. I was not willing to wait 45 minutes with my toddler alone inside so the only option was to break the sliding door which was done. Maintenance showed up 30 minutes later and rudely said “it would have been cheaper to break a smaller window” as if that’s my thought while my child is locked inside alone. One window my child was asleep in front of, the other was blocked off by moving boxes since I broke my lease the ONLY OPTION was to break the sliding door. Now I’m being told I have to pay for it after it was THEIR fault for giving me a faulty bar. These people are nothing but money hungry people, they are awful human beings with no empathy for anyone but themselves. When I mentioned to them over and over I had a toddler with me they expressed they had kids as well so they understand yet I dealt with the issue for song long and nothing got resolved. It was about MY kid not theirs. I urge everyone that applies to this place NOT to do it, this place is awful and disgusting. Hailey, Katie, Rene and Sasha are awful people as well. I’ve had 2 of them hang up on me mid conversation for being upset that I’ve had to deal with THEIR issue (roaches) and they wanted ME to clean it, for ME to deal with it. I’d also like to add that before I moved into my unit the person before ended their lease for the same issue as well but they won’t admit to that. The 2nd I moved into this place my neighbors told myself I wouldn’t like it, that there is roaches, pest control will come and it won’t help anything. When told to Hailey she stated that it was a lie and mixed up which wasn’t because it was the exact case.
