"It was AWFUL!!! Dr. Montemayor is awful. I do not believe there are any good reviews for this doctor. They previously were at a different location and there was another doctor we went to. That doctor was blunt and old fashioned but at least he was PATIENT and GOOD with the kids. I had to go to him once on Saturday and I didn’t like him since. So when Cardenas retired I gave Montemayor a chance but forget it. We went in because my son had a real bad ear infection that it hurt his head, neck and throat right. That’s what we told the nurse and the stupid Doctor since the beginning. And what does that doctor do? He grabs my 5 year old son’s head and just jerks it so hard that my son let out a yell and started crying! Like what in the world!!!?? I had to say His neck hurts like be careful. Then he pushes my son’s head back and again hurting my son!!!! I was ANGRY by this time. Then he dares get mad at my son because my son wouldn’t move his head for him because his neck hurt that bad!!!!!!! Then I tell him I want more tests done to make sure his neck is fine and he says an ultrasound, gives me a small paper to take to get this ultrasound but no information on any places to go. I am 40 years old. And I’ve had tests myself and doctors ALWAYS tell me where to go or give me paper with places to choose from. When i asked him if he was going to tell me where to go this was his response: “Oh just go sit out in your car and google it”. Like what?! And I asked again okay but where do you recommend? Again he says, just go out there and sit and google it. Then to finish off this horrible experience he tells me can you take your chart to the lady at the desk? Never ever have I had to take my chart myself. Usually doctor takes it cause they share info with front desk or nurse. When I was paying I told the nurse how I felt and she gave me an imaging place to go to that was close. I would have given him ZERO stars. I will be moving my kids to a different pediatrician. I don’t pay a DOCTOR to mistreat my own children when they are sick. No, no, no!"

"The good first - never long waits, great nurses. I’m Very disappointed in our doctor. He refuses to offer the COVID vaccines for children. He also does not wear a mask and encouraged us on several visits to take our masks off.. He also made faces each time I told him that I was still nursing my son which is recommended by the American Academy of pediatrics up to age 2 - he pushed formula early on and made me feel uncomfortable. He is not a progressive doctor, just a little too old school. Most of these great reviews are based on previous doctors who no longer work at this center. We have selected a new pedestrian."

"The doctors have always been exceptional, Dr Montemayor has been very helpful. I think at times, I know its the season of sick kids and the rise of Covid cases. The staff needs to work on there verbal communication and have a different approach with there service. Some are just plain rude..."

"Horrible experience with Dr. Cardenas today during my grandson's (2 year's old) follow up visit. My daughter was under the impression that there were no out-of-pocket charges for follow up visits, so she confirmed with the front desk prior to the visit. She was told that it was the physicians preference if a parent paid for the follow up visits. Rather than coming into the room and checking to see how my grandson was doing, Dr. Cardenas came in saying, "So I hear you want a freebee." Dr. Cardenas then proceeded to explain his overhead cost ($14,000 for rent, employees to pay, etc.). My daughter never asked for a freebee. He was very unprofessional and we will not be going back to him. Needless to say, my daughter will not be returning to Dr. Cardenas office. We understand that you must be paid for services provided, however, the way it was handled was very transactional and less about the care of my grandson."

"The Doctors as well as the nurses are fantastic with my son! He enjoys each visit (shot time is a slight concern of his - 6 years old). Great office, professional staff and an overall awesome experience. We highly recommend! Thanks for all you do!"
