"I wish I can give it NO STARS , Cynthia Escamilla Canyon Point Management, WASTED NOT ONLY MY TIME BUT MY MONEY . I found this apartment complex by using a 3rd party apartment hunter , his name was Jesse and he was so helpful finding me and my kids a home , he was VERY much aware I’m a single mother with 5 kids , so when he spoke to Cynthia -she was made aware of my children and what I needed for my new home. I toured the property, I couldn’t view the property due to #1203 not being ready , but it was fine I paid my 140$ and got APPROVED IMMEDIATELY. There was a system error and I couldn’t add all my children on the application, but was able to add my oldest , well fast forward a week , I’ve paid my deposit, paid admin , and pro rated rent totaling 2380$ PLUS PAID THE RENTERS INSURANCE, Transferred my CPS ENERGY AS CYNTHIA STATED ! TRANSFERRED MY CHILDRENS DAYCARE AND SCHOOL ACROSS TOWN . ALL IN HOPE TO MOVE INTO OUR NEW HOME COME 1/26/24 , WHICH CYNTHIA HAD STATED VIA EMAIL , well at 11:21am SHE EMAILED ME ABOUT ADDING MY CHILDREN AND WAS VERY MUCH AWARE OF MY CHILDREN AND THERE AGES AS TO WHEN WE FIRST SPOKE IN THIS EMAIL SHE WANTED TO KNOW THE REST OF MY KIDS NAMES AND BIRTHDAYS SO I CAN SIGN THE LEASE WHICH IVE ALREADY DONE EVERYTHING FOR ! CYNTHIA THEN PROCEEDED TO TAKE MY CHILDRENS INFORMATION (I HAVE A 10,7,7,3&6month old ) CYNTHIA WAITED TILL 4:20pm TO TELL ME MY KIDS AGES WERENT APPLICABLE TO MOVE IN BUT MIND YOU DURING THIS WHOLE PROCESS SHE ALLOWED ME TO NOT ONLY APPLY AND DO ALL THE STEPS , SHE WAS FULLY AWARE AS TO JESSE THE APARTMENT FINDER EVEN LETTING HER NOW MY SISTUATION! NOW IM A SINGLE MOTHER WITH 5 CHILDREN NOW HOMELESS BECAUSE I HAVE TO NOW WAIT FOR THEM TO PROCESS ALL MY MONEY BACK TO ME ,WHICH THEY ARE EVEN KEEPING MY 40$ APPLICATION FEE WHICH I FEEL I SHOULD GET BACK DUE TO CYNTHIA WASTEING MY TIME FULLY AWARE OF HOW MANY KIDS -BUT HER BEING SO MONEY HUNGRY OR HUNGRY TO LEASE APARTMENT SHE HAVING ME APPLY . I WOULD BE VEEEERRRRYYYY MUCH AWARE OF THIS APARTMENT AND THEN WHEN I CALLED TO ASK ABOUT THW PROCESS OF GETTING MY MONEY BACK IN A TIMELY MANNER SO IM NOT HOMELESS, I WAS HUNG UP ON AND DISRESPECTED. BE VERY MUCH AWARE OF THIS APARTMENT COMPLEX !!!!!!!!!! IF ANY ONE KNOWS THE NUMBER TO THIER HEAD OFFICE ANYONE OTHER THEN CYNTHIA OR HER MANAGER . PLEASE REACH OUT"

"We were looking at apartments close to thousand oaks elementary school, so our child's education would not be impacted by our move. I'm pleased to say we found this hidden gem at Canyon Point. It's a nice property with great floor plans, But what made it the best! was our leasing Agent Cynthia. She is friendly professional and helpful! We look forward to starting our new chapter at Canyon Point apartments."

"New messages I love how comments like this can be given but not followed through on: “ We are sad to see your first impressions of your home have been so negative. If you are currently having any maintenance concerns contact us at the office. If there is anything else we can do to improve your stay, please let us know.” I have now been emailing with the front office for weeks without a single response but the office can call my husband and tell him that I’ve never tried to reach out. These people play games with your home, life, and relationships. It’s ridiculous. I still have never been contacted by a regional manager and have decided to leave. It is a terrible situation when you are forced to put your rental history on the line all because a company refuses to communicate. —————————————————————————— Old post I wish there was a way to give less stars. We moved here from California and leased this apartment from a video tour. After driving over 24 hours we arrived to sign our final documents and collect our keys. We entered the apartment and the first thing that hit you was the smell. It was terrible. Then after looking closer, the apartment was filthy. The “new” carpet had bipolar medication in it, the toilet had urine all over it, I don’t even want to talk about the kitchen. I immediately went to the office and spoke with them about it but the only solution we were given was that we could return our keys that same day and rent somewhere else. Keep in mind, we had been traveling on the road and had movers behind us so we didn’t have the ability to look for another apartment with their requirements of returning the keys immediately. We cleaned the apartment, and moved in even though we did not want to. It is now 4 months later and we still do not have fire safety devices in our bedroom and our requests to speak with regional management have been completely ignored. They tell us that smoke alarms are not required in the bedroom even though there is a base that was painted over for one. I want out but they want us to pay thousands of dollars to leave even though they are failing to do their part to keep us safe. I contacted church hill forge (the owner of the property) and spoke with the most rude woman I have ever interacted with who pretty much told me resident issues aren’t handled at the corporate level. I would not recommend canyon point or any church hill forge property. They will scam you into leasing and then try to trap you with their ridiculous fees even though they will neglect you lease when it comes to things they are supposed to do."

"Lived here for 5 years and during that time never had any issues with the office or the maintenance department. They were friendly, transparent and timely. The price is reasonable for the age of the complex. The surrounding neighborhood is nice and quiet. Good location near strip malls and restaurants."

"I'm giving 5 stars, not because I live in the newest and most prestiges complex that makes me breakfast in the morning and washes my laundry, but because while it's vEry reasonably priced and is a more established complex, it's very quiet, conveniently located, clean, well kept, with beautiful trees, and a very friendly and reliable staff. There have been several upgrades on the grounds in the 15 months I've been here. If I have any concerns or issues, I can visit the office or simply put in a maintenance order thru their online portal and get a prompt & friendly response. I have a patio, that I love, off my bedroom and another off the dining room. Weekly bug spray if I need or desire, nice BBQ area in the semi private and always clean pool area, outdoor storage closets, frequent grounds care, etc. During the summer they had a back to school pool party for the kids with a family friendly DJ, drinks, snacks and the staff raffled back packs and made burgers and hot dogs on the pit. They really care for their tenants and strive to please. And as far as value, for what I'm paying, this is probably one of the best deals on this side of town. My only real complaint is that they won't let me turn my patio into a hot tub.... Psshh whatever. So you can't have my apartment just yet, you'll need to find another. Cheers"
