Reviews of The Ravello
"Trash disposal is an ongoing issue. Trash is only collected 2 days out of the week. This is not enough so residents are dumping household trash in picnic area and the trash receptacle is always overflowing. It makes the apt complex look unkempt."
"For a low income community the rent went up $89 for second year on a 1 bedroom. Other residents said their rent didn't go up and were told their rent will stay the same. I should of had a new refrigerator put in the first year I moved in but it took until my second year and hundreds dollars of food I had to throw out to get it replaced. They replaced it with a really small refrigerator that should be for a small efficiency apartment. I can't keep much in it because it is so small. I had a flood in my kitchen under the wood flooring panels. It ruined them as my family and movers were moving me in the carpet guy who shop vac the water said flooring needed to be replaced he would tell office. It never got done and I have reminded in emails and work orders. Then this second year the maintenance guy put big gouge in the middle of old flooring while moving out old refrigerator. I told the office and he said he would tell the office. This was over 3 months ago. The gates are never closed so it is not gated. There are no grills eventhough it is advertised. I ve been asking when they will replace the grills that are all missing just post they use to be on. This is a quiet place to live and very close to stores and restaurants. The worker's have all been nice to me. I was told the reason they went up so high on my rent was so I would move because I wanted things fixed and would keep putting in work orders until I got things fixed. When you move in they have a income cap because it is low income but $89 is way to high of a rate increase for people on fixed income. If you move in ask for 2 bedroom because at the rate they are going up you will be paying the rate for 2 bedroom which the price is at the same price as when I moved in here. Only one bedroom apartments are going up. Which isn't fair."
"Management is unresponsive and the place is going downhill. The place in general is lovely, and if you qualify to rent here you get an apartment that on the regular market might cost $1200-$1500 per month at a pretty good discounted rent. They are lovely apartments in a beautiful and quiet area, but management and maintenance are unresponsive, the pool is filthy with sand and sediment at the bottom and grimy walls. Just be prepared to be neglected and be rude to. Ever since the new owners have come in, the maintenance situation, as well as overall management, staff included, has gone downhill. There’s little to no response to maintenance requests, and when they DO respond, it’s weeks and weeks later. They don’t clean the pool EVER. They STILL have not resolved the issue of hot water coming out of EVERY cold setting in the house, even the toilets and showers! And with all of this, the rent is still going up and is almost impossible for us seniors to deal with! My carpet is 15 years old, and that will NOT even consider replacing it until we leave. We are deeply disappointed and dissatisfied with it all. Thank you for letting me tell someone. I feel like nobody is listening to anything coming from the tenants."
"I have lived at what is now called the Ravello Apts for over 11+ yrs. The apartments were building for people 55+ and over and for Section 8. I have worked and able to pay full rent $760. monthly. I'm 73 yrs old and due to medical issues and age now unable to work. I tried to apply for Section 8 but was told you can apply but you won't get approved to live here you would have to move !! Last week I spoke to Minda, Apt Mgr. regarding my countless work orders and repairs to flood lights being out since last April 2020. I was told by Minda that owners of property are NOT concerned about any repairs that they are only interested in having 100% occupancy and money in their pockets so don't count on any repairs. I asked Minda why no notice was sent to people living here about no more Section 8 and she informed me that they DON'T have to inform nobody. I was told that sometime next year they will get all renters currently living here under Section 8 will be informed to find new place to live. Before this corporate party took over it WAS a well groomed community. There was office management that wasn't rude. the office was always open, now they come in late, leave early, don't answer phones, simply don't care. We pay rent and that includes having repairs done where we live. Why did you buy this property if your intentions are to hurt older people? But like Minda said to corporate it's all about money and don't care about anything else ☹☹☹☹"
"If I could give 1/2 a star I would. Management is horrible and lies about requirements and timing. You are told one thing on the phone and then a different story when you arrive for your appointment. My mom was told that a cottage would be available for her in June so they made the appointment. She took off of work and when we got there Kathy changed her story of what was available and when it would be available. Kathy is rude and clearly lies just to check people off a waiting list. If management is like this getting into a place then you definitely don’t want to live there and deal with them permanently. Retirement should be fun and peaceful but not with these people. My advice...keep on looking!"
