"From the front desk and Management they go above and beyond my expectations! I'm so please that they work with professionalism and support and care for all the Residents! Thank you Affinity Monterey Village!"
"We lived there over 2 years. When we first moved in we couldn't wait. After several management changes, we couldn't wait to move out."
"Why is there never anyone available to answer the phone during business hours? Maintenance for pests took weeks and no one was available to listen to my mother's report of the pests. I called DAILY at varying times to be rushed off the phone. I had a friend, who is more than qualified, apply for an available position, and they were turned down without so much as a phone call. It took weeks and friend was told the process can take over a month and half to hear back from anyone. The night friend called and actually spoke with someone their resume was turned down. I had another friend apply specifically for maintenance, also currently employed and has over a decade of the exact experience they needed. They had the EXACT same response - calls to attempt follow up, told would take over a month and half, then promptly denied by email. What is going on?!?!? How many qualified candidates have applied but are rejected and by whom?"
"This is one of the nicer places to live in. The apartments are all inside with nice wide hallways. The mailboxes are also inside the building. This is an ACTIVE living complex NOT an assisted living home. Nice to make new friends and get together often. The staff tries hard keeping this apartment complex running smooth."
"So, let me say that this place is amazing! It's not a retirement village; it's an active community for seniors. They have so many activities for the residents that, aside from dining, there's virtually no reason to leave the complex. There's a movie theater, a library, a woodworking shop, a gym, indoor swimming pool, a pub, a card room, a pool room, a game room, craft room, and a kitchen/dining area for having families for gatherings. They also have an internet cafe, a dog park, a BBQ area, a fire pit, and a gardening area. Everything is designed for the aging. The spaces and doorways even in the apartments are perfect for wheelchairs and scooters. It has been designed for maintaining independence and keeping active. They have also thought about convenience. The mailboxes are inside, so residents never have to worry about the weather when getting their mail. And, while all those things are great, it's really the staff that makes this place the best choice for aging folks with different abilities. I am so at ease knowing that if my mother needs anything, they are always there to help. And, anyone who has been a caregiver knows exactly how important that peace of mind is. There is only one issue I wish they would fix, and it's that the shower doesn't drain properly. Even after a weekend away, there was still water in the bottom of the shower. So, every day you're stepping into a cold puddle of water to get a shower. ***Other than that minor inconvenience, I've never had a better apartment experience than here at Affinity. My mother is happy, and I can honestly say that I am, too. Kudos to the staff for all that they do! ***Please note that the internet is awful!"
