"SEVERE AC PROBLEMS. HEAT HAZARD. UNRESPONSIVE TEAM. RUN. I along many other residents do not have AC during a heat wave!! Units reaching above 85 degrees with 100+ degree weather outside and an unprofessional unresponsive team. Only a few months into my year lease and my AC unit has stopped working six (6) times. Nearly twice every week. After asking around, three tenants from three different buildings share the same problem claiming their unit goes out “ALL the time”. Their frustration made me realize I’m in for a long ride. Hoping this can alleviate others from this heat full stress. If you’d like to pay over $1,000 for a moldy hot apartment nearly 90 degrees call Hill Country Villas! All the leasing agents are extremely unhelpful and terribly unprofessional, I expected better brand standards for Westover Hills but was let down entirely with awful Motel 8 tier service"

"If you want to live somewhere where rent is as low as $1,000 a month, a gated community where the gates never work and are left wide open choose Hill Country Villas where u can watch your vehicles get vandalized or stole while the trash gets more swole, in all seriousness this place has zero care about keeping clean personally my truck has been stolen all the neighbors have either had their vehicle or someone they know has had their vehicle stolen or vandalized while the apartment company AMC disregards fixing the gates, but they did hire security that I have seen a total of once the first day and never again while I probably pay one of the lowest in rent at $1200 after car port and pet fees and other fees including pest control while still having plenty of little roommates after getting my apartment sprayed a total of 6 times in less than a year. I have not lived here even a year and I am fed up with the trash, lack of maintenance landlord special paint all over the apartment covering bad foundation issues previous owner damages and other issues they will not show you in their nice website. Long story short for the price you pay u can get way better here in San Antonio and after I post this they will respond with please contact us but I have tried before complaining on google they won’t answer you. Where the good reviews come from on here I have yet to meet a neighbor who says they love it here or they want to stay, do not move here, if you do your either leaving without your current vehicle or your furniture from all the roaches and bugs"

Wish I didn't have to move but the rates have gone up substantially and I just started school and I have to budget accordingly, yes I'm a 50 year old college girl :). "I really wish my review could be better. I have lived here for MANY years. Today, I had something that would be considered a maintenance emergency involving water. I called the office to advise them of this and was told no one can help me, because no one was available. There used to be an after-hours line that would send out maintenance, but I guess even in an emergency, you are on your own. This complex and the way that it is run needs A LOT of help. It is a gated community, but the gate never works. They said the part was ordered and would be fixed September 6th. It is still broken. If you are looking for a gated community DO NOT move here. They make "improvements" that are pointless instead of investing money into having proper maintenance to take care of the residents/units. They CAN NOT keep office staff or maintenance. I have seen multiple management companies come and go. Their onlines systems are always difficult. They currently can not send emails in bulk to the residents to keep them informed on property updates/information. The dumpster area is often in such disarray, it is difficult to throw your trash out. I have had 2 neighbors move out who both left furniture in the breezeway (a lease violation). I talked the the office about it, they seemed minimally concerned and 2 weeks later, it was still there. You can walk this property and see the same trash in the same areas for extended amounts of time. One of the office staff members said that she walks the property with her child cleaning up trash, which is sad. I have discussed concerns with things in my apartment and put in work orders only to get ignored. When you discuss your grievences with the office, they do not want to hear it. They tell you to email corporate. They have been listening to complaints for so long, that no one wants to hear it anymore. Even when you are a long term resident who pays their bills on time. They continuously make promises in regards to the property that they do not keep, then turn around and seem frustrated when you bring it up. If it is not a promise that is usually broken, it is an excuse. Do not be fooled by the ratings and some of the reviews. I know for a fact that some of those "5 Star" reviews were posted by office staff/employees to bring up their rating because it was so low. The sad thig is, there is SO MUCH potential. It is in a great area near schools and convenient to SO many things. However, they are slacking in a lot of areas when it comes to caring for their residents. My rent has gone up every year for over 3 years, yet the quality of this property continuously declines. This property could get 5 STAR that were rightfully deserved if they would care about their residents. It is NOT CHEAP to live here and you are NOT getting what you pay for. Even when it comes to maintenance emergencies."
