"I actually had both of my teens here five weeks apart, and the experience with the younger lead me to make sure that this was where my elder child went as well. They keep you up to date with what is going on with your child and the staff is awesome. My son also attended the partial hospitalization, which has helped him immensely. While I hope that they never go back, we all agree that they would definitely return there. PHP staff is also wonderful."

"I went there awhile back in March and I had a terrible experience. It was pretty gross and the food was also not appetizing. The beds felt like gymnastics mats and they gave me a pillow case with a blanket in it as a pillow. Also there's no privacy when you're going to the bathroom or showering. They wake you up at like 6:30 am. Its really loud at night and they don't turn off the lights. The staff can be pretty rude at times too. The therapist was pretty rude and didn't really understand any of us. Also when I first got there they made me take off my shirt and pants and they took pictures of my scars. Also I tried to get someone's number so that I could talk to them after and they wouldn't let me so I just really miss them now. I really don't recommend going here."

"Saved my son’s life, every staff member was kind and caring and made a tough time in our lives very comfortable. I cannot say enough good things about how my child was treated. If I can help any mom going through a rough time by saying choose Carrus, I hope you read this. I thoroughly researched places and was very pleased with how empathetic and professional staff was."

"I’ve been to Carrus multiple times in the past. The staff are honestly so horrible to the kids. they would never give me the food I needed since I’m vegetarian, even forgot my food once. I was asked by the group therapist if my scars were for attention. Same therapist later told me other people had it worse and asked why I couldn’t get over my own problems. If you want to get help for your kids this is not the place. The place is clean for the most part but they need better staff!!!"

"DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILD HERE. The staff straight-up lied to me about my visitation. They did not update my family with visitation dates, even though they assured me multiple times that they'd do so after I asked throughout the day. Additionally, the staff were complacent to the fact that I was bullied for being transgender by everyone in my unit except for the other target. They went so far as to say that, if I didn't want to be bullied, I should not be openly trans. They refused to move me to the 13+ unit for days, despite me clearly telling them that the bullying was drastically increasing my suicidal thoughts. There was nothing restricting me from being in the safer unit, as I was 15 years old and previously placed in the safe unit, which had open room for both girls and boys."
