"Dr Vert was concerned about our child’s weight gain. As first time parents we came in several times expressing concerns about his difficulty eating and breathing. It would take over a hour to eat 4oz and he would have a constant rattle you could even feel in his back. Rather than coupling our concerns w the poor weight gain she told me quote “those are cute baby nosies and enjoy them”. In my heart I knew something was wrong so we planted ourselves at the Cook ER. Got admitted for over a week. Saw PT, OT, Speech, ENT, Surgery and had an MRI. Our baby had a a supraglottoplasty and a GButton and failed two swallow studies. Those “cute baby noises” was our child aspirating every single time has sucked on a bottle. We’ve had to continue now for months with ECI to try and help get him off the button in time. I would feel so many emotions leaving her office, like I was making these things up about my baby or they weren’t valid concerns. I truly think I have some sort of PTSD and ultimately she just delayed me getting the help my baby really needed. Trust your mom gut if you think something is going on with your baby and think twice about taking your concerns to Dr Vert."

The receptionists have always been super helpful, respectful and handle any issues or concerns we may have within a timely manner. Dr. Vert is the best with the boys. Sweet, calm, best bedside manner, informative and smart! Her nurse practitioners are awesome too!!"
