"My husband and I recently moved out of Burnett Lofts after residing there from December 2022 to February 2024. Overall, my experience was a mix of positives and drawbacks that I believe future residents should be aware of. Positives: One of the highlights of my time at Burnett Lofts was the front office personnel who were always friendly and helpful. The maintenance team deserves commendation for their quick response to work orders, ensuring that any issues were addressed promptly. Additionally, the convenience of having an Amazon locker on the property made package deliveries hassle-free. The one amenity I thoroughly enjoyed was the pool. It was well maintained when I visited. Needs Improvement: Unfortunately, my experience also had its fair share of challenges. Upon moving in, we encountered a water problem with the washer/dryer. The original oversight by the developers, who failed to hook up the hot water, resulted in an extended inconvenience. While the maintenance team worked to fix the issue, the construction-related water outage lasted several weeks. I was disappointed that the front office did not offer any compensation for the inconvenience caused by the construction. The gym, which was promised to be completed by January 2023 when we signed our lease, remained unfinished throughout my stay. This led to unexpected expenses, such as purchasing an exercise bike, which could have been avoided had the gym been ready as initially communicated. Parking became a significant issue due to a decision to allocate the first 1-3 floors to Fort Worth City Employees. This change disrupted the convenience we initially enjoyed of parking on the first floor, causing inconveniences and difficulties finding parking spaces. Safety concerns also emerged, with instances of homeless individuals sleeping in stairways and near entrances. While I personally was not impacted, reports of car break-ins and damage to complex entrances raised valid safety concerns. In conclusion, while we overall enjoyed our stay at Burnett Lofts, the shortcomings we experienced, including the delayed completion of amenities, parking issues, and safety concerns, made us question the value for the price we paid in rent."
"Let’s start with the gym (a huge selling point for the property). It was quoted to only take 90 days to complete when I signed my lease in November 2022. It is now January 2024 and they’re almost finished (and it’s nothing spectacular, think low budget hotel gym). When I asked about possible alterations to the price of my lease because of the lack of finished amenities, I was told the price does not reflect the presence of amenities….I pay over 2k a month for a one bedroom, all justified because I though this was going to be luxury downtown living. It’s not. Also, to mention the hallways smell like garbage because the trash shoots are constantly out of service so the trash shoot rooms literally pile with stinky trash. Valet trash is available but the timing is erratic, and sometimes not even picked up at all. Read the other reviews before locking yourself in here. cleanliness, parking, overall security. All huge issues. Happy my lease is finally up. Can’t wait to get out of here…"
"It was fine until they sold literally all the resident and resident guest parking spots to the city of Fort Worth. Would’ve NEVER signed a lease had I known there would eventually be extremely to NO limited parking without being harassed by the city for parking at OUR RESIDENCE. We were not provided clear communication by the complex at all and also told “they would only be the inconvenient parking spots the city would have.” No, they took them all. ESPECIALLY all the Convenient spots for residents. We don’t matter when it comes to the bottom line for the complex and this screams that. This has been a huge inconvenience when I work extremely long hours and don’t have anywhere to park. Or if you do find parking, you’re walking down flights of stairs and down numerous levels. The city doesn’t even take up a THIRD of these spots and they are STILL writing tickets for spots NEVER USED! I have no idea how a complex could allow residents to get tickets for parking at our residence after city hours. Make it make sense. Added info: I just witnessed the city Writing tickets to people who are not parking in city parking spots. DO NOT MOVE HERE. IT MAY BE CONVENIENT, BUT ITS NOT WORTH IT."
"Overview: My wife and I have lived at the Burnett Lofts now for a year. We have both highly enjoyed living here. We are the first ones to live in our unit and love it. We moved over from the Parker House (An apartment complex down the street) and have enjoyed our stay 100x more. The staff here are incredibly friendly, and the maintenance team is always prompt and does a good job. We believe the price for the apartment is great considering the location. Pros: 1) Modern units that are new and well-priced 2) Friendly leasing and property management staff that cares 3) Great maintenance staff Cons: 1) I will be transparent and say there are "growing pains" such as criminal activity in the parking garage, however, my wife and I park above the gate and have experienced 0 issues. 2) The upkeep around the complex need's improvement yet you can tell the staff is well aware and is doing everything in their power to remedy the situation. 3) The gym is yet to open, however, my wife and have gone to Vigor Active a couple blocks over for almost 2 years so this has not inconvenienced us. Summary: The units themselves are incredible and the location is hard to beat. As you can see based on my review and others that the complex itself is a still a work in progress, however, I believe once everything is ironed out there will be minimal issues."
