"I used to live here 10 years ago when it was a quiet, well maintained apartments, the gates worked 24/7, the people were less ghetto and the trash wasn't as messy as it can be now. I know someone who lives there now and the gate hasn't worked in several years. Every time i visit the trash is overflowing, I seen several fights from residents and its graffiti on the side of buildings which downgrades the quality of the apartments. One of the major shocking revelations is they force you to pay rent online which is a 65 dollar fee. They are robbing these tenants blind with that fee for online payments. I live on Bryant Irvin and only pay 7 dollars online or can pay by money order in the office but these apartments does not allow you to pay in the office, only online and charging way to much to pay online, especially for the area."
"I moved into Wind River on February 16, 2023. I'd chosen Wind River because I am a client of Fort Worth Housing Solutions and I mistakenly thought that my Housing Choice Voucher would cover the entirety of the rent. A few weeks after moving in, I started to regret choosing this apartment complex because there were multiple times I heard gunshots. I don't know if they were from the apartments on either side of Wind River or from inside Wind River. Luckily, I have not heard any gun shots in about 5 or 6 months. I had also battled with a few roaches but, the office was quick to send out a pest control technician. I have not seen any roaches since. As to the leasing staff, they were very nice but the maintenance team left something to be desired. The lead maintenance person, Alicia, actually accused me of stealing a kitchen drawer from my apartment. She claimed it was there when she did the inspection prior to my moving in. Why would I take a kitchen drawer from the apartment I'm going to live in? Well, over the last several months there has been a change in the leasing staff and the maintenance staff. It's the same company, RPM, but different staff. I haven't dealt with the office staff very much but, they seem nice. I'm now having to move because I received my motorized wheelchair on November 10, 2023 and Wind River is not able to accommodate me and the chair. The manager was very nice and provided me with a letter stating they will release me from my contract (my lease ends in February 2024). The new maintenance staff is awesome. The guys are very sweet and attentive to the resident's needs. I sincerely hope the community continues to grow and prosper with the new staff."
"This has been home for me and my partner Jordan for about 4 years. Our stay so far has been a great experience with little issues. We're renewing our lease and definitely not regretting it!"
"Had a horrible experience and i'm not even a resident. . Me and my fiancé called and spoke to a woman named Elizabeth about an apartment unit. That was only 520 a month. Because it was under the section 8 housing act for people who make under Twenty nine thousand a year.. So this elizabeth woman We spoke with told us on the phone to come in and get our application So we could get the process going and when we got there It was a total different ball game.. Basically lied to Or Someone Didn't want to rent to us And honestly I do believe Race had a big factor Because the woman who kept denying that they didn't have this type of apartment unit was a mexican woman and she wasn't friendly at all.. She kept saying that they don't have units for that price. When these apartments do, accept vouchers from section 8. And they are for people who have low-income. The white woman we spoke with was real, friendly and nice. And she wanted to help us to.. But it was out of her hands. So I'm gonna be honest, it's a rough neighborhand if you want to deal with rude manageman and you don't even have a chance to be a resident yet. Then I guess this is a place you'd want to call home.. I will never be back ..."
