"You get what you pay for I guess. This place is the bare minimum. When I first moved in the carpets were not cleaned properly, they were full of dust and dog hair. They were quick with some maintenance work orders but not all. I reported that my ceiling was splitting and caving in, they patched it up and never returned to fix it correctly. Upon moving out I left the place cleaner than when I first moved in but did not receive my security deposit back. Overall it was a quiet safe area and just a place to live, not the greatest."

"Let me start by saying these apartments are extremely affordable but you get what you pay for. Apartments are roomy but completely falling apart. Counters are worn and stained, cabinets broken/chipped and falling off their rails, floors are peeling and horribly stained. They take a pretty steep pet deposit and clearly don't put any of the money from that deposit into fixing damage from previous owners' pets. My apartment had neon yellow pee stains everywhere on the vinyl flooring. My air conditioner broke right when it started to hit 100 degrees outside everyday. In most places, this would have been considered an emergency fix. Well, no one answers the emergency maintenance line. I submitted a work order on their website but after several days, nobody responded to it. I called to ask and apparently it was news to them that they even had a work order button on their website, so they never received it. They gave me a small window AC unit while I waited for the part to come in. This was enough to cool down my bedroom at night but certainly not the entire apartment. I waited almost A MONTH for this part to come in and for my AC to be fixed. Meanwhile, my apartment would be over 90 degrees during the day no matter how hard I tried to cool it down and leave windows open over night, etc. I never received any compensation or empathy for the issue. I would not recommend these apartments, even if you are trying to save money. Trust me, spend the extra couple dollars on a place that's decent and cares about its tennants."

"I'm a sub contracted worker at gateway I can say they where great apartments when Greg was in charge but now the new management is cold hearted and has no compassion for any logical reasoning, my daughter is very sick she has a blood disease and I've been in San Antonio tx at the children's hospital with my daughter for her illness . The manger has has charged $72.00 a day for not finishing a job I'm involved. Have some compassion for a sick 3 year old girl housing authority and gate way apartment s , if Greg was around he would have."
