"This was the first time I’ve been to SGSH after been wanting to go for so long and they sure are out there to be unique. As I entered the restaurant, instead of asking for number of guests, the hostess asked how she can help me which got me confused. It took me a while to say that it’s just for one and the next unique thing is that the waiter/waitress will take you to your seat. I was served by Robert today and immediately after seated, I was asked if I wanted alcoholic beverage instead of asking for what I’d like to drink and after I said water, for the first time a waiter asked if I wanted sparkling water which caught me off guard. Immediately after I was asked if I want appetizer before I even looked at the menu and I had to say I’ll take a look at it. To a good timing I knew what I wanted (CFC) so I ordered it with fries, and he had to confirm with me that it is French fries. It is worth mentioning that he said he’s from Texas and apparently 11am meal is dinner to him. I’m from Texas and I don’t call 11am meal a dinner. The food came out good and I like how they have glass cup with extra water in a container, indicating that i was in a fancy restaurant. I was offered a dessert but I didn’t want any. After all the interesting interaction with Robert and learning about how much more communication I needed to be a guest here, I left a good tip for a uniquely well service I received. I was just not expecting all this as I usually like to be the laid back one dining at a restaurant with adequate communication. I definitely would say you over communicate here and be ready for surprises as those I said above. On the other note, I did feel like an outlier being a PoC at such a high scale southern/redneck restaurant. I did noticed some strange eye contacts with other waitresses making me feel uncomfortable. This is the reason for a 4-star rating."
"Good location & customer but the building get blockout by the highway. Their house bread and steak is great but the salmon is a little bit dried."
"What a great place. You know what I love to hear, "apps are half price right now". Visiting from the Pacific Northwest, the Crab Cake appetizer was the BEST EVER. I also highly recommend the Porterhouse, medium rare. Phenomenal 1st experience!!!"
"Their house bread is great! Their stuffed jalapeño with shrimp was salty for me! Steak was flavorful, what a pleasant surprise! Also, get the white cosmo! You will definitely have leftovers especially if you have appetizers! I heard their cheesecake is the best!"
"Absolutely delighted by my dining experience at SALTGRASS STEAK HOUSE! I ordered the Salmon Oscar, and it was cooked to perfection—flaky, tender, and complemented beautifully by the asparagus and a delicious sauce. The Caesar salad was crisp and flavorful, and the sweet potatoes were the ideal mix of sweet and savory. Customer service was impeccable; attentive without being intrusive. The ambiance was cozy yet elegant, making for a perfect evening out. A five-star experience all around; can't wait to return!"
