"I was referred to Dr. Agent by one of my best friend. I needed a primary doctor and wanted someone that was understanding and family. I went in little nervous and came out so happy. Dr.Agent is understanding and overall just amazing. I will tell anyone and everyone about her. Again so happy I found a amazing doctor."
"I have been a patient of dr agents for over 20 years and I would not have stayed this long if I wasn’t getting exceptional care. Dr agent truely cares about each of her patients. She doesn’t rush u and takes her time with you. If you are looking for a good dr you’ve come to the right place."
"My 80 year old mother has been a patient for three years. When asked to weigh, she has declined because she is on a walker and is a fall risk. This week, she told a new nurse the reason she does not get on the scales. The office manager, Alma walked out of her office and insisted she weigh. My mother begged and pleaded with Alma because she has fallen many times before. Despite my mother's protests, Alma made my mother release her walker and then was not allowed to use the grab bars when she was weighed. There were no fall prevention efforts provided for my mother. We will never go back to Dr. Agent's office Alma stole my 80 year old mother's dignity and self respect. I have reported the incident to authorities."
"I have thought about this experience and had to let others know. I am a black female who retired at the age of 61. I do not qualify for Medicare because of my age; nor do I qualify for Affordable Care so my monthly premiums are very high (running approximately $900.00 per month). Recently I was looking for a new PCP and went to Aetna’s website (my current provider) to find one in my network. I located Dr. Agent; the reviews were good he was in Alvin and I live in Pearland. I proceed to call and make an appointment; the receptionist asked if my health insurance was government assistant. I advised her it was not and set up the appointment. When I arrived at the office the receptionist (Jessica) asked for me for my insurance card and driver’s license, which I provided. She looked at my insurance card and told me they did not take government assistant health insurance; I proceed to explained it was not and I was paying Aetna all most $900.00 per month. She then said she could not take it; I told her I would step out and call Aetna. I explained to the Aetna agent (Carolyn) my problem and she proceed to call Jessica with me on the line; she explained that I purchase the insurance from Aetna and pay directly to Aetna each month. She also explained that Dr. Agent was in my network; Jessica then told Carolyn she needed something from Aetna stating that my coverage was not part of Affordable Care (she could not take my card). Carolyn advised her that she would need to check to see what she could sent; see took her faxed number and hung up. Carolyn then asked me to hold and she would check to see what could be sent. After about 15 minutes Carolyn came back to line and told me they would need to type something up to be sent. I told Carolyn every time I have gone to a new doctor they always have me sign a form of financial responsibility; so, Carolyn again called Jessica and asked her. She said they didn’t do that (which I find hard to believe); I then proceed to ask Jessica what was the charge for a first-time office visit. she said $200.00 to $300.00. I told her I would pay with my credit card and once they received payment from Aetna after the claim was filed they could just sent me a check. She said they could not do that; then I became upset and told Jessica I would find another doctor. I thanked Carolyn for trying to help and hung up my phone and drove back to Pearland. Do you think it was discrimination?"
"I really did like seeing Dr. Eileen when I was able to get in with her. The office staff however is a completely different story. Certainly not people you want to deal with when you are sick or needing to see a doctor, especially when you are paying hard earned money for a service, one where you and all of your personal information is right out there making you vulnerable. For the customer service here I could go pay someone to punch me in the face and count my money better spent. Very unprofessional...all of the time. Most of the time you are talked to like you are out of line for needing medical help or for asking questions. I was told by the office manager after I asked her too many questions about a medication they were calling in for me...that I should have done my research before calling them because that's what most of the patients did when they wanted to change up their meds. I said I was asking her because I was relying on them as my Doctor for the knowledge..Alma informed me that the office would call it in based on the PATIENT's word...what WE found on Google, that I should have done my research did I want her to call it in or not. When making appointments you will be TOLD you cannot get in for up to or more than a month. No apologies. After accepting this and making the appointment you will then be offered to be put on the cancellation list at which point you will be contacted a week or so later and told you can magically get in within a few days. This happened at the very least 4 times in a row maybe 6 . When I asked why this was always happening I was told it is because they are short a doctor or a PA. It's even more frustrating when you accept the appointment because you are afraid of not being able to get in, in order to maintain your medications. If for any reason at all...no exceptions...you miss an appointment...expect to be charged $25. This took place after their office called me and made several different resets previously with other appointments that had been set out at least a month or so from the date of the appointment I just left from. I can understand the need for a fee if there is an excess in appointments being missed but can also see with the way this office is ran it is no wonder the appointments are being canceled and/or missed ...you cannot not count on any consistency other then not being able to get in when you need to but when they need you to. If you want a doctor you can count on seeing when you are sick or in need...this is probably not the one for you. Dr. Eileen was one of the first doctors I found that was able to help me with managing my health situation that is why I found it so odd that her staff was allowed to run these offices into the ground by treating the patients in this manner. In my negative experience with this office my interaction was mainly with the office manager...apparently she is the one responsible for making all the rules and setting the schedule and overall how the office runs. I write this review only after being informed that I now owe $50 dollars for two separate times of missing appointments and emphatically the office manager Alma was not going to reconsider them...I did call, they were situations out of my control. The star I gave was for Dr. Eileen and the fact that she actually seemed to care about me feeling and living better. That I would still continue to drive over an hour to see her is testament to her care. The office staff however act like they are government workers with bad attitudes. I would put dealing with this office right up there with visiting the IRS office. I have decided to no longer spend my valuable time or money with this particular Dr. office."
