"I have been a patient of Dr. Hickman for several years now, sent many friends her wsy but unfortunately, I will be going elsewhere. Although I really like her and her bedside manner is amazing, the front office staff is incredibly rude. I was 12 minutes late for an appointment (my fault) and called them to let them know. The girl who took my call was just short curt and extremely rude. Basically, told me not to come and advised me that I couldn't be seen for 10-12 weeks out. Having skin cancer in the past, I told her I had a spot I was incredibly concerned with but she would not budge. I am in the Healthcare Industry and if I behaved this way toward any patient I would be unemployed. I'm sorry to say but Katy Dermatology will no longer be a referral from me."

"I saw Dr Carter for the first time today. She addressed multiple concerns in addition to a full body skin cancer screening. She was thorough, knowledgeable, reassuring, and very professional. She listened attentively answered all my questions clearly. She gave me great information about what to expect from my treatment and the possibilities. Her nurse, Melissa, was also very warm, professional, and knowledgeable. She took the time to make sure I had all my after care information and that understood what my prescriptions were for even though Dr Carter had already conveyed that information. My appointment was quick but not rushed. I never felt dismissed or as if my inquiries were annoying. I didn’t have to wait long in the waiting room or the exam room. As I was waiting to check out, I witnessed the office staff handle a variety of questions and situations about insurance and payment with grace and respect for each patient. The woman checking out each patient was friendly and reassuring as she troubleshooted despite I’m sure feeling stressed about the line of other patients waiting to check out. My entire appointment was under an hour. I very much appreciated the professional and streamlined service from start to finish!"
