"Wow! We cannot believe how Dr. Vellanki treated us last week. She was rude, overbearing and then extremely arrogant all because I had a few questions. She has been my Mother’s PCP for about 2 1/2 years and she used to always be kind and considerate back when her practice was much smaller. Now it takes over a month to get an appointment, there is a long wait in the lobby and when we finally get in there she is a completely different person. We were her last appointment on a Friday afternoon and she made it clear immediately that she did not have time for questions. In the middle of my question she would rudely start talking over me and would not allow me to finish my question. She thought she knew what I was going to ask her before I finished and each time she was wrong. It was very frustrating. We waited 1 1/2 hours to ask Dr. Vellanki about my 92 year old Mother’s new fainting spells, a mix up about medication and her left eye had been swelling up substantially. All perfectly normal questions that concerned us. It was so uncomfortable, so unprofessional that I briefly walked out of the room (to the bathroom). When I walked back in the room she (in a rude tone) said “are you going to be alright?” I told her that she had changed since her practice has grown substantially and that for me it’s a “Red Flag” when a Doctor does not want to answer your questions. She really got loud and then over and over kept saying the same thing. “If you have a problem you can change Doctors.” I finally had to ask her “please stop” I heard you the first 5 times you said that. It did not end well . My opinion, someone that rude, arrogant and unprofessional should do something different. Does not seem to enjoy her work. We trusted her to put my Mother’s best interest before that of her own. Now, we feel offended, betrayed and sadly dissapointed. T.L. Sparkman"
