"I have been a TSAOG patient for many years. I had an in-office hip procedure done yesterday afternoon and was quite satisfied. Within 10 minutes of leaving the office, I realized that I would have a 3/4 mile walk required early the next morning in the Denver airport. Unsure if that was advisable, I immediately called TSAOG to reach the Dr. or his assistant. Unfortunately, TSAOG provides no obvious way to reach a specific Dr. and most of the automated telephone options all seem to lead to the scheduling department. I explained my question, that I might need to immediately make airport transportation arrangements for my 8AM flight, and that I needed a prompt call back. 23 hours later I got a call from the nurse who chuckled when I explained that she was rather late since my travel is now complete; I failed to see the humor. My procedure was a 45 minute, $1,600 out-of-pocket treatment…one might expect that a prompt response to what was described as “rather urgent” would be the protocol."
