"My hubby and I are both WellMed patients. My hubby was trying to see our regular Dr on a Friday to evaluate his knee pain. No availability. So he saw someone who was available. After the visit he was told prescriptions would be sent to the pharmacy of our choice. By then it was 4pm. We waited for a call to pick up the meds but no call came. Assuming it was too late , we expected a call from our Pharmacy in the morning. Nothing. So we called the pharmacy and to our surprise nothing was ever sent. So we call back to the Dr office and we were told that it would be sent to the pharmacy. We waited a few hours for the pharmacy to prepare our order and called the pharmacy again. No orders had been sent. So we call back to the Dr office and we're told now that on Monday they will have to find out why the orders were never sent. Monday???? We went to the Dr on Friday to get this resolved and now we have to wait till then untangle this mess. Well they had better not be charging for the visit. All they basically did was let us come in and warm their chairs for a few hours. No thanks, we're looking for another clinic."
"Been trying to fill my husbands high blood pressure medication for over a month. Had been calling office over a month and they say that Rose will call back and message was put as a High Priority, two weeks later still no response . He we are 6 weeks later and had to literally come down to the office to complain and speak to office manager. Will be finding another PCP."
"Called for a refill prescription and employee Duffy could not refill because she could not find authorization form yet when I called yesterday, there was no problem from another employee. Duffy's customer and patient skills today were completely uncalled for. Why was it OK to take my call yesterday, yet today it was not. I know we have an updated HIPPA authorization form yet she could not find it. All I wanted was for her to follow up to see why refill had not been submitted after I submitted request using the patient portal. The person I spoke to yesterday. assured me she would give it high priority. I have contemplated moving my mother to another clinic but because Dr. Gilbreath is a very caring doctor, I hesitate. Please give me a call as I requested to speak to a supervisor and Duffy said that she could not connect me to anyone and stated she could have someone ca me back."
"Friendly staff and had a great atmosphere feeling throughout the whole appointment. Doctor did not show to be in a hurry to get through the exam, asked if I had any questions, and gave positive attitude about my need. I like the idea of being able to schedule follow up over the phone for results to not miss work. I also like the idea that if I need to go to another Alamo medical clinic, they will have all my info. on hand."
"There are so many things I could say about this medical office and Dr Garza. The first time I went, it was for an appointment with Dr Garza which was at 3:30. I didn't get seen until almost 6. It was horrendous waiting, my husband and I had to wait so long that they moved us to the after hours waiting room, and this was with making an appointment! After this, the medications that were prescribed had an adverse effect so instead of being concerned, she said to simply stop taking them via patient portal. Well apparently she doesn't even remember what she told us because she later requested to visit her for a follow up and she contradicted the instructions she gave online. After changing the instructions for the prescriptions, she didn't update it in the system so when it came time for a refill about 2 weeks later she denied it and didn't even tell us! So now I'm back at square one without a doctor and without treatment. Don't waste your time or your money. This doctor doesn't care about you or your health."
