"Therapist himself! Amazing! Zero complaints, super helpful, really wish I could go back and continue getting help. Front office, back office, billing, etc. they DO NOT CARE ABOUT YOU AND WILL DO ANYTHING TO SCREW YOU OUT OF YOUR MONEY. Don't go here, definitely don't give them your credit card information. They put a bogus charge on my credit card back in December of 2023, I finally got that refund sometime in January. I attended another session January 4th, March 5th I get a phone call from the collections department claiming that I owe them another $150. Turns out I needed an updated authorazation code for my counseling benefits through work. I called Mutual of Omaha to get the requested authorization code - they can't back date more than 30 days. The recorded message in the billing department states that someone will return your call/message within 24 business hours and that was repeated by someone at the front desk. The very first time I tried to get in touch with someone about the first bogus charge it took multiple messages and 3 weeks for them to call me back. Stephen in the collections department today (3.5.24) said they will work with me to find a solution/resolution by the end of this week. Somehow I doubt it. I can't believe I'm still dealing with this 3 months later... getting counseling for grief made me need counseling for anger management!"
"Since the acquisition of Connections Wellness Group, the treatment of patients has degenerated to an utterly abysmal state. A practitioner is there one day and gone the next without any patient notification. I had an appointment scheduled for a Friday. It was 30 minutes past the time of the start of my appointment and my practitioner had not arrived. I spent the rest of that day and part of Monday trying in vain to find out why my practitioner was a non-show only, as no one would answer the phone, only to learn the practice eliminated 60% of their staff. This should tell you all you need to know about this practice. They place profit over people, at the expense of their patients. Their business practices are unconscionable. They display an abject lack of basic human decency."
"5 stars for the therapist, 0 for quite literally EVERYONE else. I gave all appropriate information, and was told I was “100% covered by insurance, no cost to the patient” so I proceeded to schedule weekly appointments, then a month later I am told oh no actually you owe $75 each appointment. I was even told I would be refunded (on a recorded line) bc they charged my card with no notice or statements? Still can’t see a statement? still not refunded for them lying about appointment costs. Now I owe them $150 for their miscommunication. Which is all documented by the way!!! Timestamps, names and everything. I would’ve never had back to back weekly appointments if I would’ve known how much money they would actually be. UNREAL. for a place that’s supposed to care about mental health, they have made it unbelievably WORSE."
"I called 01/10 to get an appointment for severe anxiety and Trama due to loss. After an hour on the phone, they suggested 6-8 week in patient. I said no. Fist appointment was weeks later. When I called, I asked for therapist and psychiatrist. They scheduled the therapist for 01/25 and when I asked about psychiatrist, they cancelled the therapist and scheduled for psychiatrist for 01/31. I get a voicemail today that says I need to fill out paperwork or they will cancel the appointment. I explained that in the hour intake interview all these questions got answered. Come to find out they just want a credit card on file. I was told on 01/10 that they would run insurance benefits and let me know how it will be covered, I called back and of course went to voicemail. I am moving on to somewhere else. I honestly just was going to keep first appointment to ask what answers i gave in intake interview that would warrant in patient 6-8 weeks. I think they are trying to do a money grab and don't care about the patient. I have been in medical for 35+ years. I get it all. I will not put a credit card on file. I will pay up front for what i owe. If you ran the benefits, you would know what I will owe at each appointment. Very disappointed."
"I have gone to this clinic for 2 years & consistently have issues scheduling appointments & medication refills. I showed up to an in person appointment & the provider was not there. Providers are consistently leaving for other clinics (I am on my 3rd in 2 years). When I am seeking help, the support is very limited with little to no communication with my provider. Everyone seems nice but very disorganized. I am astonished that CWG gets best of Denton consistently with the level of service I have received & high rates of provider turn over. I highly recommend finding a different clinic that offers more support to providers & patients & not just out to get as many appointments in per day to achieve “efficiency”"
