"I’ve been a patient of Dr. Mike’s for about ten years & am 65. Another doctor I won’t name did my right knee replacement & a long story short…..probably put in the wrong size. When I woke from surgery I’ve never experienced such horrific pain in my life. I was screaming at the top of my lungs & actually woke up the entire hospital floor. The morphine Rx wasn’t working at all & it was unbearable. As a man I now more than ever appreciate what women have to go through with child birth! Lol The head nurse on duty called Dr. Mike as he was on call & happens to be chief of staff of Baylor Trophy Club hospital where I was. He took care of the issue immediately. I’ve had probably eight lower back epidurals by Dr. Mike. And I do them awake. That’s right….I’m fully awake & trust him 100% with the needle. HE AND HIS ENTIRE STAFF….. ARE THAT GOOD."

"I have been a RN, Pediatric Nurse Practitioner & Family Nurse Practitioner for 43 years, so I have clinical training & expertiseDr. J. Micheal Stanton & his brother Dr Patrick Stanton, are both physicians in this pain management practice. Since they both have the same last name, they are referred to as Dr Mike & Dr Pat. I have been a patient for 12 years & I require appointments every 2 months. I have never experienced anything but kind, friendly & professional interaction from everyone in the practice. In fact, I would rate it as the best; I feel like a member of their family. In those 12 years, I have no knowledge of anyone in the entire support staff named Courtney, but can assure you that anyone being as obnoxious as another reviewer described would be quickly terminated from their job. As for the doctors’ & nursing professional expertise, I worked at the medical school that included the Pain Management pioneers that literally wrote the textbooks that are used throughout the world for teaching this specialty. These MPM doctors, IMO, are definitely as knowledgeable & skilled as the doctors at that medical school. I would most definitely refer anyone with chronic pain or painful muscle spasticity to these doctors. They drastically improved the quality of my life, using the minimal amount of interventions & medications to optimize relief for their patients."

They run on schedule both for office visits and procedures at the surgicenter. The staff actually care about their patients. They ask about my husband and daughter when they aren't with me. "I tried to make an appointment here for days and I finally received a call back 3 days later by a woman named Courtney. She starts off aggressive and stated that she'd received my messages and I didn't have to go to them if I didn't want to. I told her I was aware of this but I was told by my Neurosurgeon who referred me that I could get an immediate appointment. She snidely stated "that's not how we work, do you want an appointment or not?" Before I could fully answer her, she told me to quit yelling.... I had to laugh as I was at a Physical Therapy appointment and took the call as I really wanted to make an appointment. I definely wasn't yelling as I was sitting with my therapist who was kind enough to wait. I simply hung up as I was not in a place to have further discussions and it was evident Courtney had a problem with me. I called back after my appointment but no one ever answers the phone here. I left a message but nada!! My advise, avoid this place, they don't EVER answer the phone, they're rude and if they're rude on the phone, it'll be 10 times worse in person!!"
