"Very professional and caring providers, polite office staff and widely available appointments. The sliding scale fee structure is a life-saver for uninsured patients like me. Lijo Abraham is a great provider and I highly recommend this office"
"While HSNT has grown and gotten busier, they still do what they can to treat and see every patient possible and their staff is always friendly. Laurie Mottl is my provider and I absolutely love her! She is compassionate and you can really tell she wants the best for me as a patient."
"Long Story Short: Would not recommend for pediatric care. My wife and I felt uneasy during our son's 12 month check up appointment, and left mid-appointment. Long Story: My son (1 year old) has been a patient of Dr. Schulman since birth. We think Dr. Schulman is a great pediatrician, but when he transferred to Health Services of North Texas, we were left high and dry. Supposedly there were issues with BCBS (our health coverage) during Dr. Schulman's transfer, so when we arrived for our son's 12 month check up, they didn't have our son's appointment in their system. We had to file our son as a new patient with another doctor at Health Services of North Texas, and reschedule for the following month. It was incredibly frustrating and plainly unprofessional that no one notified us about this issue prior to our son's appointment. We had our son's makeup appointment today - first appointment of the day at 8:00 AM (which was scheduled one month ago). We saw the new doctor (Dr. Veronica?) in a fairly timely manner. She didn't come off as very kid-friendly. The assistant gathering his weight and height was also not very kid-friendly, and the facility is just a plain-Jane doctor's office (no kid friendly anything to help entertain our son while he was being fussy). The assistant handed us paper work to fill out, but it was all in Spanish (it's fairly obvious that we are primarily English speaking). Mistakes happen, so that normally wouldn't bother me, but it makes me feel like the staff is just going through the motions. Our son was supposed to receive 5 shots, and the doctor also told us that they would be taking blood from him (from his arm) after his 5 individual shots. Not sure how in the world you are supposed to keep a 1 year old still long enough to draw blood after receiving 5 shots. I was surprised they didn't offer to split up the shots in 2 separate visits or something along those lines. Also, we have several other friends with children our son's age who have never had blood drawn from their child's arm. It sounds like a prick in the heal would suffice for the blood testing that needed to be done for an ordinary 1 year check up. Nevertheless, we knew our son needed his shots so we patiently waited for the assistant to come delivery the shots. We waited 20 minutes before I asked someone if they forgot about us. We waited another 10 minutes before we ultimately decided to leave. Our son was extremely fussy, and I was frustrated that it was taking so long (again, we were the first appointment of the day). I also had 30 minutes to think about the non-kid-friendly assistant administering 5 shots to our fussy, wiggly son, not to mention the blood they wanted to take from his arm afterwards. It sounded like a recipe for disaster, and I was honestly concerned that my son would get hurt during the process. We left which I think was the right call. I called the billing department afterwards to see how this was all going to pan out. The lady I spoke with was very apologetic, and helped us figure out the billing. She is the only reason I'm giving two stars and not one star. Overall, I think the staff is just going through the motions and getting the job done, rather than actually providing quality care for the patients. We're going to roll the dice with someone else. I'm fairly optimistic that there is another provider out there that will provide better care than Health Services of North Texas."
"We love Dr. Teran and the support nurses/staff that helps once you get called back. They are always so sweet with my son. I super appreciate their patience and hospitality! My one complaint - the white girl who works the front desk was so unnecessarily unpleasant and rude (at the Mesa Drive office). I haven't ever had issues with any of the other front office staff so it was a little shocking how bitter she was to me before I could even give her a name for the appointment. She put a bad energy into the waiting room."
