I’ll sum it up like this- Hannah was invaluable in educating and supporting my husband and me about all the stages of pregnancy and what to expect on D day. "Hannah is a wonderful doula and was incredible throughout the entire process. From educating us on birth and helping prepare us for labor, we felt comfortable and encouraged at every step of the way. She was always available for questions and concerns, and she checked in on me throughout my pregnancy. During birth, Hannah was incredible. Even when we were birthing during the ice storm, Hannah went above and beyond to support us until it she able to safely get to us. "This review is long overdue!! It's hard to put fully into words just how amazing Hannah was as our doula and for our family when we brought our son into the world, but I will try my best to encompass here the full praise she deserves. I was searching online for nearby doulas and came across Hannah's website - the amount of reviews and testimonies from so many others really painted a picture of who she was as a person and as a doula for her clients and I had such a good feeling about her. I noticed a mutual friend also worked with Hannah and she gave her personal story about her experience and really painted the picture of how amazing she was not only during her birth, but all along the way up to that point. After hearing that I had to meet her, so we had our interview with Hannah and immediately after my husband and I knew she was the person we wanted to there to help us bring our son into the world. Hannah was SO thorough with sharing things we needed to consider, offering resources to look into when deciding on things that were important for our pregnancy journey and birth and baby, and set up very realistic expectations about our birth goals. She helped with formulating plan A, B, etc. so that even if our plan didn't go as planned, we had another plan in place... and thank goodness she was able to help us prepare for that because things did not go as originally planned lol. While I am sad I didn't get to have the original birth I wanted, at the hospital Hannah made it every bit as comforting as she possibly could, had a great relationship already built with the nurses and midwives there, and was there for me when I needed her... and I NEEDED her! No video, story, blog post or anything could have prepared me truly for what birth without medication would be like. She never left my side and was just a constant calm, supportive, encouraging and loving presence. She not only helped me, but helped my husband and mom best help me during labor also. We were able to welcome our son into the world safely and without any unecessary medical interventions! Hannah very obviously so has a passion for what she does. Not only that, but she has the has the wisdom, heart and strength to really help empower you to have the type of birth you want (or plan b want lol) and I would highly encourage anyone reading this meet and talk with her. It will be immediately evident she is the only and best choice!!!"
