"This is a second hand account ! But is true! My friend who shall remain nameless! Was recently fired as a PATIENT! The reason being, she couldn’t afford the treatment required for a liver disease! The reason being, she is a cash paying customer, and couldn’t afford the special treatment and the down payments to even start. This is an outrage! I visited this place when doctor Robert Miller was in charger! It was great! Now it sled downhill , due to a corporate buy out! They would refuse a patient , because they can’t pay… and had the audacity to fire under the umbrella term of “ non-compliance “! If you find this to be outrageous, please comment on this or their page in support!"
"This place is terrible! Maybe it was a good doctor's office a long time ago, but they are horrible now. I went there a few times with only minimal issues, but my LAST visit prompted me to write thus review. I had a 1/3 of my thumb sliced off during Thanksgiving and went to them for a follow-up to make sure there was no infection. I had a very important conference video call with the owners of my company an hour and a half my designated appointment time. I waited in a room for an hour with no update. I had to go, so I went into the hallway looking for assistance. The nurses and nurse practitioner were in the break room eating. I politely told them about my situation and why I had to leave. I waited another 15 minutes until I lost my patience and said "please just give me some guaze and scissors and I'll wrap it myself. That finally got their attention and they begrudgingly wrapped my thumb and said I needed to go to wound care. I told them I didn't have time for that. I went home and thought nothing more of it. Two days later I got a certified letter saying they refused to give me any further treatment because I was threatening and intimidating the staff. I did nothing to threaten anyone but I did demand they do their jobs and not make me miss a very important meeting because they missed my appointment time by an hour and a half. Do NOT go to this sorry excuse for a clinic. You would have better luck at a county hospital ER. They are rude and unprofessional. I have also heard horror stories from patients, including children who were just cut off abruptly from medication."
"This place is awful. I’ve been a patient for 3 years, my doctor recently disappeared from that office. The MA tells me that the medication I’ve been taking for 10 years will no longer be prescribed to me. They gave me a drug test and then tell me they found marijuana, Delta 8 gummies are the only thing I’ve taken and I got those from the health store. Not illegal. I take a controlled substance and I’m aware of the stigma’s associated with my medication but I still deserve respect and dignity. The lack of empathy for my situation was so uncharacteristic that it lead to believe it was more agenda based than solution based. After telling me my medication wasn’t going to be refilled I looked the lady in the eyes and ask what I’m I supposed to do? She said “ your medicine isn’t addictive so you won’t die but you’ll feel like crap’ Wow! If this is the kind of care you seek this is a great place. I didn’t think this could happen to me, could you find yourself in this same situation? Choose wisely. Just awful!"
"My family has been going to one doctor here for close to 21 years. I used to recommend the office when others would ask me where I go. I don't anymore. I drive an hour one way to see my current PCP because I have known him for so long, and he knows my medical issues well. The office staff, including the Doctors at Joshua Family Medicine Associates used to be easy to get a hold of, and returned calls within a day.(if not sooner) I call now and wait on hold up to 10-20 minutes at a time. When I do get through, everyone is in meetings, unavailable, not there, or will call be back. Hardly any call backs. I have been calling and using the portal to get results from tests for several weeks. Not all results are in the new portal. I was supposed to have someone call me back yesterday before closing. No one called. I have other concerns regarding the clinic since Wellmed took over. It would take too long to type. They need to get it together soon or I will have to find a new Doctor."
"I've been patient here 22 years (since 1999) and up until recently have always been more than satisfied with my care. Since Dr. White's retirement the standard of care has dropped considerably. The new physician, Dr. Michael Moisant offers subpar care at best. His demeanor is lacking and his patient interaction along with communication skills are nonexistent. In the past the staff had always been wonderful, but recently I have noticed an extreme decline in their communication and patient care as well. I'm not sure if this is the usual standard of care one can expect from a DO vs MD but I will be searching for a new family physician."
