"I never would have thought that this Doctor would be so unprofessional. I was a former loyal employee of NEC Pediatrics who left on good terms. Management told me I was fine to continue to be seen as a patient for my three children. I recently visited the office last week with my 15 month old being sick, she was treated and everything seemed fine. Today I received a letter stating that Dr. Akin would no longer be a primary physician for any of my children. How unprofessional on his part. I was a hard working employee and for him to no longer want to take care of my children because I left is so wrong. Shame on him. I really did not expect this from him especially being a pastor and a pediatrician."

"Dr Akin is a great pediatrician he’s good with my girls. But the staff he has is absolutely trash they are rude and pick and choose which patients go first this will be the second time this has happened at this doctors office a visit should not take three hrs. When I ask when my kiddo would be seen they say she has a couple ahead of her but everyone that came in after us has been seen and have left the office make it make since. I was finally happy to find a good pediatrician and on that was brown I hate to say black but this will have to start looking for a new pediatrician this place is not it. And after reading all the reviews and most of them pretty much say the same thing. Maybe the staff needs to be retrained cause if u don’t like you job then don’t work here Patience’s come to see the doctor cause they don’t feel well and then still have to deal with rude people or staff that just don’t care."

"I highly recommend this place the app wasn't working for me but when I called crystal greeted me nicely I told her I was behind on my children's immunization and she understood, she told me it happens and that i could be helped with getting them back on schedule. To My new parents don't feel discouraged just because they're behind on their immunizations. You can always bounce back and be 2x the parent you thought you wasn't going to be!!! Remember that! And for crystal I want to say thank you !"

"Love Dr Akin as a doctor. He's always super knowledgeable and great with my daughter. His office staff is the reason for my poor review. I've been calling for a week and can't get anyone to answer the phone and the voice-mail is full, probably because no one will answer the phone. Been with the practice for a few years and the office staff seems to be getting worse as time goes on. Nurses/Doctor- 5 stars, Office staff- 0 stars."

"Dr. Akin. Is very Knowledgeable, Respectful, and funny. The reason why I am giving 1 star. Is the lack of care from the office staff. It takes EXTREMELY LONG waiting time. When u call is useless, so you have to go in person. The staff does not seems empathic with their customer s. Not a good experience. Even when u are paying private, it seems no difference. I guess who ever is running the business needs to be more attentive. No longer taking my kids there."
