"This place is horrible!!!!! My poor grandmother has been poorly treated. Everyone Here has shown no mercy as to how they lost her chart, she hasn't given her any meds since here so my poor sweet grandma is in so much pain. When you come in and she BEGS you please dont leave me here... I would not recommend anyone to use this facility. Toilet over flows in the room and they didn't care what so ever. This place is absolutely awful!!!!!!!!!!"
"Done ever let your loveones come here. I wouldn't have even looked at this place if I had a choice."
"The staff there lie. If they want something they lie to get it. My example. My loved one was there for assisted nursing at the end of her life. She had spent a week at plum creek before being transferred to a hospital due to an infection and when it was time to go back she begged us not to send her there. I didn't think much of it at first since she was out of her facilities at the time but after dealing with them I now wonder. We signed a DNR at the hospital but that one doesn't count at a rehab. Okay, so we go to sign another one. I arrived at 7:45 am waiting for a social worker that they didn't know when came in or if she came everyday. No one checked a schedule. They just told me to wait in the waiting room to see if she'd show up. A nurse told the front desk clerk that if she didn't to come to get her so I could talk to the next best person. I waited until 8:30am when the desk clerk came to me and told me I should just leave since it didn't look like a social worker was in today. I reminded her that the nurse told her to come get her and her response was "Oh you heard that". Still the front desk girl was young and seemed new so I just shrugged and waited to talk to some one. 9am and a different nurse comes out and tells me to follow her into the hospital wing. Along the way asking anyone we encounter whether or not they've seen this social worker. Everyone says no. Now I am faced with three nurses that show me the DNR and tell me that they need it signed. They are all talking over each other and I say I can get it signed, but that I had a few questions about her care. After a few times asking about who to talk to about care they kept insisting to talk about the DNR and trying to get me to leave. I finally said that the DNR will be taken care of but I still wanted to talk about care. They told me they had those meetings on Mondays and we could talk about it then. That really bothered me that they did not want to answer questions or give me someone that could. At one point I asked if family could be witnesses for the DNR and they said "no problem" I double checked when dropping it off and they said it was fine. My parents went later and signed another one since they have to have one for the hospital wing and one for nursing, and double checked the one I had been in charge of for nursing. Everyone there says there is no problem and were all good. The next day the missing social worker calls to tell me that the DNR is invalid since family signed and that I was made aware of that fact. I'm now pissed. I told her that they told me family was okay. She then says that typically the social worker does this and if I had talked to her instead of going to the nurses there probably wouldn't have been a problem. I then pointed out that they couldn't find her. She then says that she was probably out to lunch. I then say at 7:45 am she then says she was there and doesn't know what happened. At this point I tell her I'll get it to her as soon as I can. She brings up making my loved one comfortable or if we want to try and make her get better. I tell her that some family is heading our way and before we talk hospice we need to talk to them. And now she says that my loved one probably wont make it throughout the night and the whole family should come up there. I start calling people, and my Mother calls the nurses station to see what my loved ones condition is. They tell us that she's weak but there is no reason to come immediately that she should make it through the night just fine. What I suspect is the social worker did that to be mean or to force hospice to start happening or to make sure that we all come in to sign instead of having it faxed to us and dropped off. Whatever her motivations she's a liar she lied about being at her job in the morning and that my loved one was currently dying. The nurses lied about what they told me and my family about the DNR to cover their asses. The front desk girl tried to lie so she wouldn't have to track down someone for me to talk to."
"My loved one is currently (at the time of typing this) serving time temporarily at Plum Creek Specialty Hospital for physical rehabilitation. Here is a list of things that I have noticed that are ATROCIOUS. FOOD: The food there is horrible. Many times I have seen the nurses or just random people delivering the 'meals' that the Plum Creek 'chefs' have put together. My loved one has asked many times what the dish that they're giving her is, and they usually say "I don't know". STAFF: Buckle up, this is a long one. - I do believe that, by law, it is required for a physician of some sort to put together a plan (no matter how complicated or basic) to show the physical rehab. assistants what they need to do. (ex. This patient needs to do at least 20 minutes of physical rehabilitation a day, blah blah blah.) My loved one is doing random amounts of rehab a day, even though the doctor at BSA specified that she needed to do at LEAST one hour a day to regain her strength. This is one of many things. - The RN's are usually very caring, and fun. But most of the other staff... not so much. At the front desk, the only time I have ever seen staff there is if they are waiting for pizza to be delivered. - Another bad thing is... at the time of me typing this my loved one has been in the Plum Creek Specialty Hospital for 6 days, and has not ONCE seen a doctor of any kind, only RN's. - Once again, another staff problem. I have heard the nurses talking to (who I can assume to be a physician or director) someone on speaker who is being asked to come up to Plum Creek, and is saying "I'm not coming up there." - The cleaning staff are bad too. I see them sitting in the chairs on their phones a LOT, but, as they're running through the halls, the should be able to see the candy wrappers and sometimes potato chip bags that they're speeding past to look at a video on another person's phone when they're supposed to be... cleaning. I may have left a few things out... but you get it. TLDR: Do NOT send your loved ones here, unless you have absolutely no option at all. There are many better place to go."
"My father is at this place he had knee surgery and has an infection. When he first got there they brought him a wheel chair that had poop on the seat for him to sit in then when my mother saw it the nurse just covered the poo with a blanket instead of disinfecting it!!! This was the first nite sense lots of horible things have gone on...they told him he could only bath on sertain days of the week, and when he did go to take a shower they didnt help him at all and told him to grab the bar on shower wall to help himself get into the shower with no help, floor was wet and remember i said he just had knee surgery so I am really worried about the men and woman that can't tell others they way they are treated!!! I am giving my mother this web site so she can tell you all more so you DONT take anyone to this god for saking nasty place."
