"02/22/24 my almost 90 year old grandfather was brought into the er around 6pm with extreme stomach pain. He ended up passing out in the er waiting room, The nurses came out, woke him up and took him to the back. We let nurses know that he is extremely hard of hearing, and that someone needed to go back with him because he can't hear or understand what everyone is saying. They refused to let anyone go back, they said the space was too small. They refused to let us know what was going on.. 3 HOURS LATER a nurse came out to speak with us who had a horrible attitude and seemed like she hated her job. We asked for the charge nurse twice so we could report her and they refused to come out. This was a horrible experience especially for someone with a disability and shouldn't be left alone. We will never return here and will be filing a grievance with the hospital administration tomorrow morning! You guys should have better patient care since you are working with people all day!! This is extremely unacceptable!"

"Methodist Hospital is a great place for care, and I’ve always brought my family here. Never had any complaints, except for this. I brought my mother in to the ER yesterday and she had active bleeding. She received less than acceptable care from Dr.Cromwell, who seemed to have little to no interest not just in her but in any of his patients. I watched his first interaction with my mom and he didn’t even look at her or call her by the right name, he even looked inconvenienced. I watched him do the same with the others. At the end of it all he did the CT and blood draw and sent her on her way and told her to follow up with a Gastroenterologist. Something didn’t seem right and she is bleeding yet again. I just did some research on Dr.Cromwell and this seems to be his MO. Same demeanor, same process, same result. My mother is receiving care from somewhere else at this time but it’s a shame that a hospital I’ve always had faith in, didn’t come through for my mom. We are still looking for answers and my advice to anyone seeking emergency care is that if you end up getting him, just decline and go somewhere else. He isn’t going to help you. You’ll be charged for a CT and blood draw and whatever your deductible is for an ER visit at that time, just to be told to go see a specialist. Even if you’re actively bleeding."
