DoubleTree by Hilton Austin Northwest - Arboretum

"Arrived a little past 3 pm and rooms weren't ready, but the front desk employee was really apologetic and even gave us breakfast vouchers for the following morning - rooms were ready 10 mins later so no big deal. Spacious hotel room with nicely hidden fridge and coffee machine, and a decent sized desk if you need to do some work (also tons of seating and nice daylighting in the lobby/bar area). Yummy breakfast and checkout was at noon so this place gives the most time for actual stay. Only downside is getting to the hotel is a little hard because of where it's situated next to the freeway, but the location in proximity to the Domain and Q2 stadium is great! Parking is roughly $10/night which did throw me off, but apparently lots of hotels are doing this to alleviate raising the cost of the rooms itself (ugh, inflation). Overall - great stay and would come again!"

"We had an unauthorized charge from this hotel, and when we called and asked for help with gaining a refund was put on hold for over half an hour. Called the desk back from another phone and the front desk worker answered, after realizing it was us put us on another hold. After coming off hold would not give us his name, gave us attitude, and then hung up the phone. Younger sounding man. I would not give this location your business!!! Absolutely rude. Front desk worker should be fired! Would not stay here!!!"

"The staff was outstanding. Our room was clean, air conditioning was cold and ran well. We were disappointed that the beautiful bar/lobby area wasn’t open on a Friday night, but we made the best of it. The price we paid for one night was a bit high, but we were there with the wedding party, so we didn’t shop around. When we went to leave in the morning there was a woman taking pictures of our vehicle. Apparently you have to pay to park, which we were not informed of (and I’m thankful for that because it would have pissed me off — $175 for 1 night in a hotel that isn’t downtown and has PLENTY of parking). The woman gave us a warning and it left a bad taste in my mouth. We live in Austin so it’s highly likely we will be back, but I think it’s ridiculous to have to pay to park at this hotel."

"I was not impressed with this hotel, not one bit. I walk in, it looks a little fancy, I was like okay this is nice. The room itself was not clean, the table tops were dirty of liquid stains and good thing I had Clorox wipes because I wiped it all down. The toilet, it’s like you have to put your entire body weight on the lever to just flush it, what a work out. The sink and shower had the worse drainage I’ve ever seen. There was no hot water, that was out of their control, I think. Then you have to pay for parking. The rooms are older, the entrance was nice but the rooms definitely 2 star. I slept in my pants and socks because I thought with dirty counters, a dirty back board, I couldn’t trust the sheets to be clean. The towels had no fluff on them, like they were 10 years old. I’m sorry but management really needs to step it up. Lastly, I do want to say that all 3-4 employees I talked to were really nice and helpful, the bed was comfy and the air was nice and cool. Can’t forget the cookie, it was delicious."

"First time at this location and it’s super cute and affordable. Each staff member I encountered was friendly. The rooms needs some updating/repair, but it was clean and smelled good. The bed and pillows were super comfy and hotel quiet in general. Breakfast was tasty. I would definately stay here again!"
