"Beds were awful!! Cabin was quaint loved the area. But the fact we has to sleep on couch a d recliners because beds were AWFUL was very disappointing. It qas like being on springs. And squeaked so bad I think tou could wake the dead."

"We took a quick trip to relax and we stayed in Cabin #2. The grounds are decent and the recreational areas are mediocre. For the nightly rate, I expected a better experience. We had 1 fork in the cabin, the silverware holders were dirty, no iron, a broken microwave, the TV didn't work, it had to be replaced and the grosses shower head; itnwas so gunked up, we barely had a spritz of water for showering. The shower head was replaced, we didn't bother with asking for another fork, there are 2 microwaves so we just used the other one. The sink had no stopper or towels to clean with; we got a scouring pad and some dish towels but no sink plug but used a bath towel instead to stop up the sink. I would say you get what you pay for, but because I sent over $500 for 3 nights, I'd be lying. The town is very quaint with friendly people and Eric, the groundskeeper was super helpful. The pool was clean but the area needs some touching up. The game room and workout area are okay, we chose to not use them. The gym is very dusty and there is no outside lighting at night. When we arrived I had to freshen up the smell, the cabin had an awful stench and the water smelled even worse. We chose to bring bottled water, in case there was an issue with the water. The grounds are filled with prickly weeds, so your socks and dogs hair will pick them up easily. The cabin was cool and that was a huge plus in 100 degree weather."

"Stayed with a large group for the weekend, rented the entire property. Would never pay $350+ per night if it weren’t for the group function. Way overpriced for what you get/quality of cabins and age of large home. The property is very spread out so when renting the entire ranch it’s not convenient, you have to drive to the pool, etc or have some means of transporting your snacks/drinks/supplies between buildings. It would be great if they offered EZ carts or even bicycles. The cabins are really close together so if renting just a cabin it’s not super private but also not as close as a hotel room either. The air conditioning on the whole property works great, you won’t find yourself overheated! Beds in the cabins are not super comfortable, no extra blankets, kitchen was adequate although we didn’t use the one in the cabin, only decaf coffee available which was disappointing, the bathroom toilet seats in at least 3 of the cabins need to be replaced (they have holes worn in them from the lid, the coating peeled off). There are stains on the couches and carpets everywhere, hairs on my bed pillow but other than those things it was clean. Pool was great, tons of pool floats available. Overall the property is VERY outdated and needs a good deep clean. I don’t think it’s worth the price but it suits a large group function well."

"Best family reunion anyone could ask for! The cabins were perfect for all our different size families! The "big house" was amazing and a great place to all gather and eat together and hang out. Loved the pool house area and all of it's beauty. Lots of fond memories to enjoy and we will definitely be back next year with or without a reunion!! We loved the cozy ranch feel and Eric (land manager) took great care of us if we needed anything! Oh, don't forget about the barn, for an amazing event with all our family. Tons of room and such a great outdoor space!!"

"This place is super charming and located in a beautiful part of the Texas hill country. It's a short drive to downtown Wimberley. Accommodations were clean, quiet, and comfortable. The staff was extremely helpful, and you can tell the property is loved and taken care of well. We stayed in cabin #1 "Dance Hall", and it has a slightly more secluded feel than the other cabins, in my opinion. There is a shared propane grill, rec room with workout equipment and pool tables, hiking trails, and a pool on the property. While on a hike my husband and I saw a stag herd grazing in a meadow, and many native birds. I think it would be really nice to rent the whole place out for a wedding or family reunion, but it was great as a couple's getaway."
