"We loved our stay at Hill Country Casitas. The casitas are outstanding. We enjoyed spending evenings outside on the porch and grilling dinner one night. They are located off the beaten path, which is what we were looking for. There are a number of wineries, breweries, and distilleries within a reasonable distance, however. We enjoyed the hot tub too! We will definitely be back!"
"We love staying at the Hill Country Casitas! The casitas have everything you need if you want to get away from reality but is still close to so many things if you want to get out and explore. We visited different shops in Drip each morning, day tripped to nearby small towns for the afternoon and were back to the casita in time to unwind in the hot tub before starting a fire on the porch each night. Highly recommend!"
"Beautiful Hill Country Getaway I needed a getaway and decided to visit the Hill Country Casitas for a solo trip December 20 – 22. By far, this was the most peaceful and relaxing part of my year. Time slows down here and stress seems to wash away as soon as you drive onto the grounds. Arrival was super easy at the Willie – it was clean, welcoming, warm, and inviting. The bed is comfortable, kitchen well stocked, shower is awesome, patio is serene, privacy is perfect, and access to all amenities was super easy. The first day/night, I walked the grounds and took it all in, laid down in the hammocks, sat in the hot tub forever, enjoyed the rocking chairs in the pavilion, and had a peaceful night enjoying some country music on my laptop with a good cigar. The next day, I slept in the next day until 6:20 – a huge change to my daily routine (no alarm clock!). After breakfast, I had a visitor – the resident cat stopped by to say good morning. I let her inside and gave her some turkey and then she wandered back off into the wild, it was great having her swing by. Then, I walked to the grotto (beautiful), hiked up to the top of the property (super easy, maybe 1/8 mile, and well worth it), and then watched the birds near the hammocks at the oak grove. This was a highlight of the trip – when you come visit, do everything in this paragraph, it’s well worth your time (remember, it slows down here so no excuses here). It did rain quite a bit on my trip, off and on, however, if it does rain on your visit, do not let it bring you down – I recommend sitting in the rocking chair under the pavilion and take time to just listen to the rainfall. The last night I spent with the fire roaring in the firepit – it was everything I wanted in a getaway and then some. I highly recommend the Hill Country Casitas. And bring a headlamp!"
"My friends and family booked the entire property for my wedding weekend. It was amazing. The property is gorgeous and we were able to have our rehearsal dinner at the pavilion on the property. The pool, hot tub, and huge fire pit were a huge plus. The entire family (young and old) had a great time! The only thing we didn’t expect was how far away it was from the town of dripping springs on long curvey roads, but it was worth it. I attached a photo of the porch of casita #1 where my husband and I stayed!"
"Our only issue is that we only could stay for one night! We stayed in the Retreat and it was definitely more than enough space for the two of us and our pup. It was so quiet and peaceful sitting out on the porch. We explored what we could in our short stay and the pavilion area was so pretty with such great views and had so much to do (game closet)! Our cabin was clean and the bed was comfortable. A couple of things we appreciated were the Keurig and the number of towels provided. All in all, we will definitely be back for a longer trip!"
