"Our vacation rental, The Peacock House, was much more than we expected! This vacation location was chosen by our daughter for her 17th birthday. I booked online with booking.com. Monica was so easy to reach with the couple questions we had. That was refreshing! If you are planning a visit to the San Antonio area, we HIGHLY recommend choosing one of her rentals. As an owner of a cleaning business for the past 16 years I can tell you this is the cleanest, most well stocked, comfortable, well layed out, peaceful vacation rental we have ever stayed at. It is a very spacious home, with beautiful hardwood floors, gorgeous counter tops, very clean and fresh linens, and all the kitchen amenities one should need. As a cleaning business owner, of course my eye is trained to notice pretty much everything. I am absolutely flabbergasted at the high quality of input, care, placement, comfort, and attention to detail given by the housekeeping staff! Kudos for being a shining example of creating an atmosphere that feels like home! It has a very nice, up to date washer and dryer which are very quiet. There are very well sized TVs in every bedroom and the living room. There’s just enough decor to make the space comfortable and inviting. The back yard is fenced in, so our little jack russell could roam around freely and lay in the sunshine. Though we didn’t use it, there is a large hand built grill near pleasant shading. The peacocks that wander the neighborhood are so enjoyable to watch. We even got to see a few baby peacocks. Talk about location! We were moments away from stores, incredible varieties of food, all kinds of entertainment and attractions. But you would never know it. Though the neighborhood is so close to so much, it is the absolute quietest and well kept neighborhood we have had the pleasure of staying in. The rates are unbeatable. You’re getting a whole spacious home rather than a noisy hotel room for virtually the same price. This is a great model for what every vacation rental should be held to!"

"Well I will start out by saying this was a beautiful house to stay in for our vacation. It was just a short 20 minute drive or less from all the attractions we wanted to go see. It was just amazing at all the peacocks that were there just roaming the neighborhood, in the mornings I would go outside and look up in the tree in the front yard and there were 3 of them just hanging out. Then on the other side of the street the neighbors house there on the roof, just walking around.it just the coolest thing. The house was so beautifully decorated with the peacock Theme, through out the house. Very clean, had enough kitchen essentials and pantry items to get you by if you forgot something, and to cook with. Nice spacious rooms, the beds were very comfortable. a lovely backyard too. We were so pleased with this place. I would recommend this place for sure."

"Very nice place but BEWARE that the peacocks DO NOT shut up in the early hours of the morning and throughout the day. Some of them attack the sliding door(likely trying to fight their reflection). You'll get sleep during the night as the peacocks likely sleep too but if you didn't get a good night's sleep then be ready for the loud crowing around 5am. Take some ear plugs with you. Trust me on that."

"My mom and I stayed at one of Monica's properties while in San Antonio for 10 days of appointments that my mom had to go to at the University Transplant Center. Let me first just say that this was our first ever experience with Airbnb and Monica blew our expectations completely out of the water, and went way above and beyond in a way I have never seen. A reason we looked at Airbnb is to find a place that would lets us bring our three small dogs so we could save money on not having to board them. Well, Monica's placed checked that box off immediately, so one less thing to stress about. Secondly her place is right across from the Transplant Center where we are having to be, another box checked off, and another thing less to worry about. With appointment times we were needing some flexibility on check in/out times. Monica check off that box for us, and set us up in one of her properties she is preparing to list here. This place is something incredibly special. This place just felt like home. The house is just the right size for my mom and I (comparable to the size of our house), the colors and decor are very soothing and relaxing, the beds are like sleeping on clouds, and Monica made sure we had everything we needed. Monica really helped take all the stress out of the travel accommodations aspect of this trip so that we could focus on the appointments. Let me tell you, that means everything. The first day we came we had to drop everything off, crate my dogs, and head off to our first appointment. Monica was at the house most of the time we were gone, and went so far as to comfort my dogs by talking to them letting them know we'd be back. They seemed to understand and calmed down rather quickly. That is what I call amazing. She is the sweetest, most caring person ever. We had made other accommodations for next week, when we'll be back, but we have promptly cancelled those and booked again with Monica."
