Quality Inn Downtown - near Market Square

"No forks or bread or juice or fruit or really much of anything for breakfast. Air conditioner not working properly. Room smelt damp. Employees were very friendly but the hotel itself and its amenities could be better."

"Disastrous? We arrived expecting a certain price based on Google, but the actual cost was twice that. I've come to realize that's a Google problem and not the hotel though. The price we expected (~50) might have been tolerable considering the state of the lobby and our initial impression. The front desk is basically a folding card table and the computer system appeared to be a laptop. The actual price was about $80 however, and this is not an $80 hotel. It was late so we decided to stay anyway, but when we opened the door to our room the toilet was running and was filthy. The bed wasn't made either and we noticed bugs on the floor. We didn't even step into the room before we knew we were leaving. The gentleman working there was very friendly and apologized. He explained it was a mistake that we were given a room that hadn't been cleaned but we were too turned off to risk trying a different one. Chatting with him during the check-in process he spoke about allergies and I noticed he was wearing a mask. He thinks the pollen in the area bothers him, but based on what we saw and what I read in other reviews, I think his job is the problem. The hotel is probably killing the poor guy. Assuming he's not the one running things, I feel sorry for him. The biggest issue now is that I was supposedly refunded as we left, but he was not able to print me a receipt after offering one. I gave him an email address he could send it to, but hours later I still don't see one. Wasn't there long enough to confirm, but the WiFi seemed shoddy so I wonder if the front desk even has internet half the time. It looks like I'll be calling my bank in the morning to be sure I'm getting refunded or submitting a dispute. If the rest of the place and the rooms are anything like the one we saw or many of the reviews, I'd recommend staying away from this place. I'd probably skip the free breakfast too. It sounds like it needs new management and maybe new cleaning staff. A visit from the health inspector might not hurt either."

"This hotel is very convenient. Location is perfect. Customer service provided by Rick was excellent and the rest of the staff are friendly. Me and my 9 years old daughter and husband spent 3 nights everything ok. We had a good slept. They provide what you need for a good stay and the price was the best. If you are a miserable person who likes complaining about everything, this hotel is not for you. Hotel have all the basics for a good staying. Be happy"
