The Crockett Hotel

"Overall a good experience at the Crockett, I would come back again. The rooms were clean and I loved the history feeling of the lobby. Our room seemed a little smaller than the photos. I considered it was because we were at the corner of the hotel with the fire exit, but maybe I am wrong and it is the same size as the others, but we made it work. We only used our car once this trip because everything was walking distance from the hotel. The valet service was great and very friendly. Andrew was the one that helped us with are valet. When we first arrived he explained to us how the valet works and was happy to answer our questions."

"We enjoyed our stay. Great location, ambience, lobby bar and coffee shop. It is an old hotel so the rooms aren't the most modern but they have everything you need. Valet was secure and the tailgate didn't get stolen."

"This was a true Alamo experience, that I don’t necessarily wish to remember. This hotel was so promising, great location, great reviews, perfect! The staff at the restaurant were wonderful, and the woman who greeted us upon check in was so kind. However, upon entering our room, we noticed the room lamps were so dim, it was like being inside the candlelit Alamo, with a TV that doesn’t have access to any of the channels it says it has. But silly me, there wasn’t electronics in 1836 so obviously that can’t be part of the experience. Well the final touch was my personal favorite. No working shower. You had to dunk your head under the faucet similar to washing your hair in a well, and when we informed the front desk of the issue as we were leaving (only stayed one night), the response we got was “ok, I’ll tell someone”. Not, I’m so sorry you had that experience, no trying to rectify the issue or find us a solution. While I love the Alamo, I’d prefer my hotel experience to not mirror it. Won’t be staying here again."

"Late post! Stayed here the Sunday after Thanksgiving (11/26/23) to celebrate my girlfriend’s birthday. When we checked in the front desk staff was amazing and we received a surprise upgrade to a suite. I’d pre-ordered flowers to the room and they were gorgeous. Received tickets to see the Alamo after dark as part of room. Staff is THE BEST! Location is fabulous. Wonderful hospitality!"

"Fair pricing, room was clean and staff was nice. A good portion of the rooms have a view of the Alamo. Supposedly the place has some ghost stories associated with it, my partner and I were not possessed so I reckon it’s safe. Only complaint was I booked with some offer that included two free drink coupons, these were not real as advertised and they staff declined to honor it."
