Comfort Inn & Suites Cedar Hill Duncanville

"Do not be deceived by how this hotel looks on the outside. It is cleaner and more updated on the outside than it is on the inside. The price too high for the quality of the hotel. I prepaid for several nights of stay in August of 2023 for business and did not stay any of those nights. Here's why: The awkward smell of the hotel and my room, the baby roaches around the elevator button, the sticky floors, the strange man roaming on my floor that I guess could be seen on camera if there was a camera, the gloomy room, the police SUV'S parked outside at the entrance when I thought I had enough courage to have my family spend the night (by the way we woke up to police SUV'S at another hotel we left up the street that was managed by the same person) and the quality of management and corporate support of management.) I wrote management and received a "cookie cutter" response and still charged me for the night I didn't stay. My stomach churns thinking about what I saw and smelled. I believe the roaches were more comfortable than I would have been."

"The bathroom smelled of urine, and the lobby/elevator/hallways smelled of weed. Kitchen staff frequently ran out of breakfast items, like waffle batter and/or eggs, that are permanent menu items. Guests were either turned away or had to wait a long time for replacements. Breakfast is included with the stay and is not a bonus. Our last morning there, there was a massive religious convention that made having breakfast impossible. To accommodate the large religious crowd, the kitchen staff didn't put breakfast out beyond coffee. Again, every guest paid for breakfast with their stay. Each guest should get what he or she paid for."

"Very quick check inn, clerk was in the back watching TV buy he eventually came out. The breakfast was constantly refilled, and the cook was very attentive. Extra points for that. My room smelled like smoke when I got there. The smell was so strong I got a headache. There was a dirty towel in the room. Everything else was clean."

"Pros: beds were great, rooms clean, water pressure was heavenly, had some of the movie channels, Mexican restaurant next door has margaritas so no need to drive after a few drinks. Cons: (biggest 2 problems were resolved or happen same night we were there but still remain relevant) elevator was down the night we got there but was working again when we were checking out the next day, hot tub went down the same night we were checking in but not sure if they fixed it by the 2nd day or not, also there was no tv guide to see what was on without channel flipping and stumbling into something to watch, the complimentary breakfast was bleh at best."

"Cozy beds, really clean rooms along with helpful and courteous staff. I didn’t experience anything problematic during my stay but there were several bounty hunters one night searching for someone along with police officers the next am. We weren’t advised to stay in our rooms or clear the property while they apprehended the individual. Other than that, I really liked our stay. I would recommend this hotel."
