"Illegally took money out of deposit. The community is nice. The experience while there was great until leaving. I only left because I wanted a bigger place and a one level place. My lease was from 9/8/2021-9/7/2022. I had a roommate and she was not on the lease due to her moving in after I was there and I did not need anyone jointly on the lease as qualified on my own. However, the office did have documentation that she did reside there. I notified the front office in writing on 7/7/2022 (60 days requirement met) that I would not be renewing my lease and this was accepted. My ex roommate had a separate conversation, that I was not apart of, towards the end of August 2022 asking for an additional week because she was going to relocate to another unit within the Luxe Community (she signed her own lease) but it would not be available for another week. I was moving to another senior living community all together. I went to the office to verify that they stated this was ok and they confirmed that they did give her permission to stay after I left. I personally moved out all of my items on the 9/2/2022 and completed the cleaning of all common areas, my bedroom at the time and all appliance with the exception of the refrigerator because my roommate at the time was still living there (remember she had been given permission). I turned in my keys on 9/7/2022. I asked when I would receive my deposit. They stated that they had 60 days and would send it to my address that I provided. When I received the deposit refund it was less than what I expected. They charged me for the additional 4 days that my ex roommate stayed (that they allowed her too). Charged me $150.00 for the cleaning of her room that she was in, the kitchen and the appliances that were previously cleaned that she continued to use since they allowed her to stay. They charged me for utilities through the 11th when I had checked out and turned in my keys 7th. So $247.08 was deducted from my deposit and I only received $102.92. I discussed it with the office and they said it was deducted because my roommate had stayed even though they gave her permission, not me. So the money should have been billed to her especially since she was staying on the property and moving to another unit and they gave her permission to stay. It may not seem like much but on a fixed income every little bit counts."

"It is obvious from the moment you walk into the Luxe @ Cedar Hill that it is a beautiful new luxury building with a ton of amenities catered towards their residents. But that is only the beginning, the real distinction centers around the service and care provided by Jordan (mgr) and her team. I recently moved my mom into the Luxe - this was a difficult transition for her compounded by the fact that I was managing the logistics of her move from out of state. Jordan was absolutely AMAZING throughout the entire process. I am positive I could not have found a better place for my mom.
